I look at Ada confused as she walks into the pub.

"What are you doing here, Ada?" I ask.

"Have you seen Freddie?" Ada asks.

I shake my head. "No."

"Or Tommy?" Ada asks. She doubles over in pain. "Ahh! I have to find Freddie."

I hand her a glass of water. "Drink this first."

"No, I have to find them, I think they are going to kill each other," Ada tells me.

"Wait, Ada. Who is going to kill who?" I ask.

After finishing at the pub and getting Ada to calm down I head to find Tommy. It's late so I'm assuming he will be home. I don't bother knocking as I open his bedroom door.

"I see you still don't know how to knock," Tommy remarks.

"Ada was looking for you," I tell him. "She was worried." I sigh. "You and Freddie. It had made her sick... She's all right, but in her condition, she needs peace." Tommy sighs. "Women talk."

"That is something they do," Tommy remarks.

"She talked about you. She said you keep everything locked up." I shake my head. "Like I didn't already know that."

"Well, that's what men do," Tommy says.

I roll my eyes as I sit down beside him on his bed. "You know it isn't easy for Ada. Her brother and her husband, fighting over the same thing."

"The coppers are saying if we don't turn Freddie in, they'll put Ada on the arrest warrant as well," Tommy tells me.

"And what are you going to do?" I ask.

"Freddie Thorne is family," Tommy tells me.

I smile slightly. "I was hoping you would say that."

"Did you need something else?" Tommy asks. I look at the opium pipe on his nightstand. Tommy shakes his head. "You shouldn't, Helena."

"Neither should you," I challenge. Tommy makes a face. "The night I spent here was the best night of sleep I've had since before the war."

Tommy sighs before picking up the pipe. "Once."

I nod my head before taking the pipe from him. After taking a hit I hand the pipe back to Tommy. I kick my shoes off before lying down in his bed. Tommy lays down beside me and I wrap my arms around him tightly.

I can feel the bed shifting under me. I open my eyes and see Tommy twitching in his sleep. It looks like he's having a nightmare.

"Tommy. Tommy." I shake him lightly.

Suddenly Tommy jolts up straight in the bed.

"Tommy?" I ask.

He looks me at me wild eyed. "Hel?"

I sit up and put my hand on Tommy's check. "You're safe, Tommy. You're in Birmingham. You're here with me."

Tommy nods slightly. I jump when I hear a pounding on the door.

"Tommy! Tommy?"

Tommy stands up and hides some of the things on his side table. He doesn't want everyone knowing the lengths he goes to be able to sleep.

"It's open," Tommy calls out.

Danny opens the door. He salutes Tommy. "Private Whizz Bang reporting, sir."

Tommy smiles slightly. "At ease." Tommy sits back down on the edge of the bed.

Danny can finally see that I am here. "Oh... I didn't mean to..."
