"Come on bus," I said as I look at the time on my phone. I just got out of school.
After a few minutes, the bus finally came. Tappin my bus card I made my way into the back. I put in my headphones and just listened to music. Seeing that my stop coming up, I pull the yellow wire to let them know. As the bus came to a stop I gathered my things and got ready to leave. Getting off the bus, I let the bus pass and get ready to walk down the hill. Making it home. I saw that my mom has been there. Walking around the house I looked at all the things I need to clean up. Putting on some comfortable clothes I started to clean up and get ready for work.
finally, finish getting ready I grabbed my purse and keys. walking out the door I felt the sun on my face. I lock the door and made my way to the path to go get Aaliyah from school. I got excited as I got closer to the school. still walking I could see her playing with a little boy. My smile got wider at the sight of it.
"I'm here to pick up Aali-" I said showing her my ID before I got to finish my sentence I hear her yell my name
"MOMMY" she waves before running towards me with her friend and screaming too
"MAMA" he yelled and I saw the girl he ran to she looked very familiar
"mama this is my friend Kaden he is funny," she said as she laughed
"Well hello, Kaden" I greeted the little boy. He had very curly hair and he was cute.
"hello this is my mom" she pulled her and we both laughed. His mom looked very familiar. She was very Masculine. She was something-
"hello umm I'm Marie this is my daughter, Aaliyah"
"wassup I am destiny and this is Kaden if you don't mind me asking what school do you go to I feel like I've seen you before"
"uhh I go to Thompson not far from here actually "
"I do too. That is where I know you from. Mr. Jamal right"
"Yup"it feels like I'm coming out the closet or something.
" Mom Aaliyah and I had the same lunch"
"And what was that Kaden," she asked the little boy
"It was rice beans and meat" and that got me thinking
"Aaliyah didn't I pack that for your lunch"
"Yes but I wanted to share"
"Kaden did you say thank you"

"Is he allergic to anything because I don't want to pack anything he eats it and it's a big mess"
"Ughh as far as I know he doesn't have any"
"Ok good well nice to meet you Aaliyah we have to get to ms honey I have work"
"Why do you have to work too much," She said folding her arm
"Nice to meet you too have a good day let's go, Kaden"
"Bye guys," Kaden said holding on her his mom's hand waving

Walking back to the apartments we talked the whole way. Making it to ms. Honey, I knocked on the door waiting for her to come. She opened her door leaving the screen door close
" Hi miss honey," Aaliyah said so excitedly
"Hey baby hi Mae" that's the nickname she gave me since I was little
