Later on that night, the house was quiet. All the kids were sleeping. Destiny was somewhere. I guess she went home, but Kaden was still here, so where is she? I tried calling but that did no good even Devon and Val tried. I and Val were just sitting on the couch talking about everything.
"Marie you going to school Friday you know everybody getting ready for prom"
"Yea I'm not going to prom so might as well"
"Wait you are not going, "Val asked me
"No, I'm not"

"First I don't have the money and who's gonna watch the girls"
"Your mom's a nurse Marie what do you like to mean," Val said I sighed I guess the truth will set me free.
"That doesn't mean anything my mom left me three years ago," I said finally admitting it.
"Wait what Marie what are you talking about...stop playing for real "
"I'm serious Val I pay for this townhouse the girl clothes, shoes, basic needs, and I have bought formula diapers and I even have stolen it if they needed it"
"Wait wait wait so for these four years you've been doing by yourself and you never said anything"

"She found out in February when I picked Aaliyah up from school Aaliyah and Kaden were friends she came up to me and destiny recognized me. That's all"
