"It could be an animal too." Said a voice, startling Claire and Ashley.

"Who is there?" Claire asked, surprised. 

"I am.... Jason!! Surprise! Do you like it?" Said the voice again.

Ashley had a guess, but she hoped it wouldn't be true. She slowly turned back to see her dog, Skittles talking.

"Skittles, is that you?" Ashley asked.

"Yep and nope. Firstly, I'm your Skittles, but I am everyone's Jason! Do you get it? Haha!"

"You can talk!" Claire exclaimed.

"Congrats on figuring it out after quite some time!" Jason said, looking at her with no emotion on his face.

"How could I have a talking dog and not know about it! Well, the surprises keep coming!" Ashley sighed, and looked at her dog with wide eyes.

"So, why did you just talk? I mean, we didn't say anything to you, did we? I mean no offense to you, by the way. Just curious."

"Well, Ms.Just Curious, you called out my code name. Which made me respond to you."

"I have a name, and it's Claire."

"Whatever."

"So.. You're Jason and how are you made to talk only when your so-called 'Code Name' is called out?" Claire asked, ignoring his remarks.  

"Basically, you're not who you think you are, Ashley." Said Jason.

"So.. I'm not a human?" Asked Ashley, tilting her head to the side with a small frown, indicating her confusion. Claire, who was beside her watching this whole confusion, sniggered.

"Oh God, no. That's not what I meant! Umm.. how should I say this."

"With your mouth duh!" Claire said. Now it was Ashley's turn to laugh.

Jason glared at them both. "Haha, very funny. Anyways, moving on. Ashley, you're the daughter of the king of the kingdom called.... What was its name again? Ah, yes. Kingdom called Orindoth." 

Ashley scoffed, not believing the story Jason was creating. "So you're saying. I'm the daughter of some king of someplace somewhere I don't know?"

"When you put it that way, I'm not sure if you're the right daughter to talk to. But the description told by the prophecy fits you; Short, wears round glasses and is very nerdy." Hearing this, Claire tried controlling a laugh.

"I'm NOT nerdy, and I most certainly am not short."

"Listen to me, you have got to trust me. Agh! How do I make you understand? I guess I need to ask your mother if I can-"

"Wait a minute! My mom's alive!"

"Of course you're mom's alive! Seriously, who are you again?"

"I'm Ashley Vivian!"

"Oh, no you're not. You're Ashley Oland."

"Am not"

"Am too"

"Am not"

"Guys! Stop arguing, will you? Jason, show us what you're trying to tell. That'll probably be better for you and us. And Ashley, calm down and listen to him."

"Fine!" Said Ashley. "But he started it." She said, grumbling.

Jason stuck out his long dog-like tongue to her, disgusted, and turned towards Claire and said." Thank you Claire. Now I've just gotta contact her mom." 

He then took out his collar with the help of his paws, and clicked on a button that was present on it. It revealed a face who looked like Ashley. 

"Your Majesty, I've found who you are actually looking for."

"Great work, Jacob. Now-"

"It's Jason."

The woman glared at him and continued, "Now, find the other one and bring them both to me."

Before Jason could reply back, the device beeped and turned off. 

"Seriously!? She just shuts me out like that! Well, you both heard the queen. Pack up."

"Wait. Why must I come? I mean I really want to, Ashley, but if you're the daughter of the king of Orindoth, then how about me?" Claire said.

"She is right, ya know Jason." Added Ashley.

"The prophecy also said that the girl will be found alongside some other girl, who I think was mentioned as her sidekick. Now... start packing!! We've got an hour to get everything we need."

"Sidekick!?" Muttered Claire.

"Alright, alright." Said Ashley, and off she went with Claire to get her things packed up.

"What a wonderful start on a Sunday!" Thought Ashley.
