CHAPTER ENTRY

THE ROOFTOPS WERE a great spot to set your mind off from all the stress.

seeing the clear blue sky that the birds hovered around, along with the familiar breeze that touches your skin. looking at the streets that were full of cars and people.

this was one of the places where you can scream your lungs out. no disturbance needed unless it was a rooftop party. get some fresh air after a long day of work. until negative thoughts came flooding in your mind.

and those thoughts are why curses existed.

opening her eyes, the first thing that caught from the corner of her eyes was a glimpse of pink hair. turning her head towards it, she saw her twin brother.

he was lying down with his hands behind his head. the two were relaxing after watching a movie with their friends. nobara thought of taking a break before getting back to missions.

"yuuji! [name]!" a voice echoed throughout the rooftop. two heads turn toward the voice and see their sensei. "sensei!"

a smile was plastered on the teacher's face, patting their heads. to him or anyone else, the itadori twins could be compared to the sun. it's like the two of them were combined as hinata from haikyuu.

[name] could be deemed as the warmth of the sun and yuuji is known for how bright he is.

"i've got some news for ya," he gestured them to come a step or two closer. "yaga wants to see [name]. she is going on her first solo mission! congrats. yaga will tell all the details so we should go right now."

the siblings paused, the silence lasted for about a minute after his statement until devastated faces could be seen from gojo's perspective.

before gojo could let them protest, he reasoned. "he thought she was more fit in this mission than you."

well, it's true. [name] was more responsible than yuuji when it comes to killing curses. the two were practically inseparable. they stick to each other like glue. the only difference between them is their height and gender.

yuuji was given the gift of height while [name] unfortunately didn't. so their height is a tad different. poor [name].

and it's pretty obvious that their gender is the opposite. after some time, gojo took both of them to the principal.

[name] noticed her brother was staring down on the floor with a solemn expression as they walked. so she took his hand and gave it a firm squeeze, causing yuuji to look at his sister.

he noticed she gave him a look that says 'don't worry, everything is gonna be okay.'

a small smile crept up to his face. he was grateful to have an amazing sister. ever since they lost their grandfather, [name] was always there for him.

now he wants to do an exchange, he vows to himself that he would protect [name] at any cost, even if they have to be executed. he tried to calm down.

it's just gonna be a few days right?

"A WHOLE MONTH?!"

[name] was blinking profusely after hearing that she received a solo mission. they were in the principal's room.

a whole month?

her face resembles someone who just knows their parents just died. she saw how yuuji's face dropped. she pursued her lips. "yes, you will be going to pulau rintis. a cursed item is hidden there so you are chosen to retrieve it."

"but why a month? isn't that too long just to find a cursed finger?"

"we thought that it's enough time for you to search it. if not, then we'll extend the duration."

in the background, you can hear someone complaining but they paid no mind to it. a sigh came out of yaga's lips as his gaze was on yuuji. "look, i understand that you don't want [name] to go to a mission alone. but she's more capable of doing this. besides, you can visit there sometime."

yuuji sniffled as he threw his arms onto his sister, who sweatdropped from seeing him in this state.

"ano, how would i know where to start searching for the cursed item?" [name] asked the buzzcut man.

"ijichi will deal with that. i'm sending him to check on you every week to see how you've been doing."

she kept quiet, thinking of the mission that was given to her. if she accepted, then she have to depart from her brother. but if she declined, what's the fun with no new adventure? the others saw her staring at the ground deep in her thoughts.

she's thinking about this that hard huh.

"i accept the mission."

yuuji stared at [name] with a dumbfounded face, "what?! you're willing to leave without me?! i thought you were with me [name]!"

"well someone has to find that finger right? i promise you can visit me at least once a week." [name] pleaded with her brother to let her go. her eyes slightly shone with desperation.

after a whole moment of trying to let her brother make her go. he finally agreed.

"that's good, but there's something else you need to do." yaga spoke, earning ears from the itadori siblings. "and what is that?"

"i have to learn what now?"

the man sighed, "you have to learn malay."

after discussing some things in the principal's room. now they are in a room with another man. the said man is a malaysian but he was in japan so he could continue his studies there.

yaga hired him so that he can teach [name] how to speak malay.

"in order to continue your mission, you have to learn a new language since in pulau rintis there's a minimum of japanese people there. most of them speak malay or either english."

[name] hummed in response, signifying that she understand. it was no worries for her to learn english, she had mastered it a while ago. "i have learned a few words in malay, but it's fine for me to learn more."

"alright then—" he paused before turning to a young man behind him, "—this is aqil. he is a malaysian but he's in japan so he could continue his studies here."

looking behind him, aqil stood there as he waved his hand in a friendly gesture. [name] smiled as she waved back.

"well i wish you the best."

i had a hard time thinking. and i'm sorry the chapter was short.
