_________________________Gray cooked Jade his favorite weekend breakfast. Mickey Mouse chocolate chip pancakes and sausage, topped with whipped cream and strawberries, with a strawberry orange juice on the side. "Good morning mommy", he said groggily as he rubbed his eyes. "Good morning baby. After you eat breakfast we'll go get your friend Kyser okay?"
"Okay." Jade sat down and dug into his food. Being that Phoenix was originally from the South, cooking was in there blood and Gray surely knew how to throw down.Preach, right on que, called her. "This is a collect call from.. Javaris Perry... if you will like to continue please press one."
Gray pressed one. "Yoooo, Gray, wassup ma?" Gray rolled her eyes. "You acting like we didn't talk last night?"
"Damn I can't be happy to talk to my shorty?" He was overly excited, she didn't know what for but she was going to find out. "Not your shorty P, you need to relax on that shit for real."Hearing her say that infuriated him, they were a thing before he left and now he wanted to know what changed?
"A nigga bout to make they debut as a free man soon and you just toss a nigga to the side?"
"It's always been business P and you know that", she said dryly.
"Ain't nobody trying to hear all that shit. I know you waiting on a nigga to get out." He sounded really sure of himself."Nah, I'm not. I got a mouth to feed and it ain't yours."
"You getting real slick at the mouth yo", he gritted his teeth.
"Nigga you not paying a bill on my side and the first thing you hollering bout is some chatte. Are you serious my nigga?" Hearing how cozy he was trying to get all of a sudden she knew he was up to no good and she wanted no parts. "Look holla at me later, I got a whole day planned with my baby boy and I'm not gon let you fuck up my day." Before Preach could even get another word in she hung up in his face."Mommy I'm doneeeee", Jade cheered.
"Okay well let's go get you cleaned up and ready."
Gray cleaned Jade up nicely, moisturizing his curls, putting him on his grey Moncler tracksuit, Grey beanie and white/ university blue 9's.
"Please don't get dirty Jade."
She went into her bedroom putting on white turtle neck body suit, black high waisted jeans, FENDI poncho, black fedora, some light make up with a soft red lip. Her hair flowed down her back in soft honey brown curls with a matching FENDI logo shoulder bag and patent black pointed toe Christian Louboutin's."You ready?" She asked Jade, who was on the couch eating a banana. "Mhmmm." Gray pulled out her business phone, calling Rocko her driver. "Good morning Miss Rhodes. You ready for me to bring the truck around?"
"Yes please."
"Be outside in five."
"Thank you."
Gray tidied up the place, trying to kill time. Rocko called back and told her he was outside. Gray grabbed Jade's hand, locked up and made sure he was in the truck safely. Most people knew her rep so majority of the time she moved with a team and today was no different."Hey Rocko. How the kids doing?"
"They good, just missing daddy." She tried to make sure Rocko got as much time in with his kids as he could, she knew how important it was.
"Why won't you call em up and bring 'em bowling with us?"
"Nah shorty, Ian trying to impose."
"You're not imposing if I'm insisting. Everything on me." Rocko smiled, he called his baby mother and told her to get her son and daughter ready to go out. She didn't oblige, if anything she was happy she got a break."Where we headed to Gray?"
Gray sent him the location, she knew that Kyser's dad didn't give her his address, and she respected that because she would've did the same. She called Kyser's father, letting him know that they were ten minutes away.
