Hey guys! My writer's block is going away, so I expect to be writing more chapters more frequently! Also, did you guys see the recent episode?? Thank god Reiner is ok, but I honestly thought he was about to die and I started crying lol. Maybe I'm a little too obsessed...? Anyway, last night I shifted to him and just cried cuddling him. He was really confused, but I felt better lol. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the new chapter!

~A Week or so Later, Resuming to Y/N's POV in the Present~

"You will be divided into groups. Rookies will be on row four, here." The officer pointed to the right-hand section of the map. The scouts were being informed on their positions for the expedition to Shiganshina. I had already been a Scout longer than anyone in the room, yet Hange thought I should still be briefed with my comrades from the 104th.

I was surprised to see so many of them had joined the Scouts. Sasha, Connie, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Reiner, and Bertholdt were there. I figured Annie must've joined the military police, since that's what she had told the two familiar faces in that alleyway. Not only that, but I saw the blood on her, and remembered her words, 'those two dumb titans.'

The night I saw Eren again, Hange talked our ears off the entire night about their experiments. It was wonderful seeing Eren again, but it was hard to get in a single word when Hange was in the room. The next day, we were set on including Eren in some experiments, but when we arrived all we could see was the decayed corpses of Sawney and Bean. Hange's shrieking was unbearable. For the next few days, Moblit and I would tend to them in the research lab. Hange was heartbroken. It was almost as though they had lost two children.

For the first time, I felt like a traitor. No, I was a traitor. I knew who did it. I knew it was Annie. It couldn't have been a coincidence. I wasn't even with Reiner anymore, yet somehow I still protected him.

The day Shiganshina fell, I swore I'd find out the deeper truth to all this pain and suffering. I knew of it, yet somehow I kept silent.

Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie may be traitors... But I'm a traitor as well.

"Oi. I need to grab Y/N and Eren." Levi's cold voice rang through the door. I stopped daydreaming, and got up. My eyes slowly fell on Reiner, and his eye's met mine in return. They seemed stuck to me as I left the room.

"What is it Captain?" Eren asked as we entered the hall and walked alongside him.

"We're going to a secluded location." He replied. "You brats are a part of my squad, which means you won't be doing the same things as all the other rookies. You're getting a separate briefing." His harsh tone made me raise a brow.

"Wait, Hange told me that we were to be briefed with the other new Scouts... Are you sure that–" Levi turned abruptly.

"Are you questioning my orders, Y/N?" His tone was jarring, but he called me by my first name again.

"No, Sir." I said swiftly. He stepped closer.

"And do you believe I owe you an explanation, Y/N?" He repeated my name.

"No, Sir." He stared me down for a moment, his eyes scanning me from head to toe.

"Good. Pick up the pace, brats." I paused for a moment and looked to Eren. We shared a quick fretful glance, and followed the captain.

He took Eren and I to this grassy field secluded from the other soldiers or anyone else in that matter. There was a change in his face. It was minimal, as his face was always stoic and serious. But I could tell something was on the Captain's mind.

The rest of the squad was there with their horses. Apparently that was where we were to be briefed. The Captain hastily left us, claiming he had some other business to attend to with the Commander. He left us to Gunther, who explained our placement in the formation would be in Row 5 at the Center. Strangely he told us not to tell anyone else of the placement.
