LOVE ALARM

Chapter 1

♡ One day after the release of Love Alarm♡

"I'm not going to download it! I think I'd die if I rang my crush's Love Alarm!" One of the girls complained.

"I'm not sure, don't you think it's easier?" You're not even required to say anything! The app does all of the legwork for you! Then, if your crush doesn't reciprocate, you can move on!"

"I doubt anyone would set off my Love Alarm, and I'd be embarrassed!"

Jimin collapsed into his personal space, the nearby conversation drowned out by his teasing whine. "Oh, Taehyung! Come on! Aren't you curious about how many people adore you?"

"No." There is only one.

"Don't you have a crush you want to confess to?" Taehyung said nothing, just kept his breathing even and his face blanks to avoid giving anything away.

"Hyung, he's been talking about it nonstop since the release was announced yesterday," Jungkook said to Jin, who had the app open on his phone.

Taehyung had expected this; as soon as he heard the news, he thought, oh no, Jimin will be insufferable.

"How do you think it knows?" Jin inquired dreamily.

"Magic? Government snooping? Aliens?" Jimin proposed laying on top of Taehyung's desk, forcing him to focus on him rather than his homework. "Who cares? It’s fun!" When his phone rang, a group of nearby girls giggled. Taehyung averted his gaze from a flash of irrational jealousy.

"You just like the spotlight," Jungkook explained. Jimin exclaimed, clutching his chest in mock indignation.

"Why don't you download it, Taehyung?" He whimpered.

"Ridiculous."

Jimin smirked. "At the very least, you didn't say boring."

"Boring."He fought back a smile as      Jimin yelled in rage, temporarily drowning out the chiming of Love Alarms all around them.

Taehyung forced himself to look ahead at the board as Jimin became more dramatic in his attempts to persuade Taehyung to download the wretched app. Every ping of Jimin's phone had him looking around in excitement and grinning, missing Jin's flinch every time. Taehyung took solace in the fact that Jimin didn't approach anyone. At least not yet.

He tried not to read too much into the fact that Jimin hadn't rung anyone else's Love Alarm. He tried not to think about how it would feel to witness something like that.

He was certain that this trend would fade, and he would no longer have to listen to evidence of how many people    Jimin had to choose from.
