As we continued our earth magic studies we were tasked with now making our sprout bloom a poppy, while using the same incantation as before. Professor Leo gave us free time to try and get our flower to bloom in class, we all sat in a circle and continuously chanted, "Livicane Aheiba Cisrium", until finally someone got a small flower to bloom. It was Indra, most of the class was so excited for her to get her flower to bloom. "Good job Indra! Keep going!", Professor Leo encouraged her and the rest of us. I had my fingers sunk deep into the soil I took deep breaths and shut out the world around me, trying to focus on transferring the magic through me and into the the sprout.

I was totally focused on the incantation and the magical transfer I hadn't realized I had gotten my sprout to bloom, until Indra shook me out of my concentration. When I finally looked at my bloom it wasn't just a small bud it was a hole bundle of poppies. "Wow, that's really impressive Alana! You have a lot of magical potential.", he said unable to hide surprised look. By the end of class everyone had a small bloom and it was now time for us to move down the tasks provided on the scroll.

By the end of the Earth scroll we had learned to channel magic from the earth and into other things, as well as channel magic from the earth and its resources into our selves. Our last task before we moved on to the Fire scroll was to make our own staff, to channel large amounts of magic to protect ourselves against any equally powerful enemy. Through this process we were presented with a number different wood pieces from different trees in the magical realm and large pieces of magical amber in a variety of colors. Most of the class chose the wood with colorful patterns, however I was drawn to the single piece of old dull ash grey wood and similar looking piece of dull colorless amber.

Using the magical incantation, "Noruycule Accaeola Venttio", by using this incantation you form a clear image in your mind of what you want your staff look like and the spell takes that image and carves the wood and amber to fit the desired look. I took the amber and wood into either hand and closed my eyes, trying to form an image of my staff. "Don't fight the image in your mind, let the magic pull the image forth, even if you don't understand the design at first trust your magic to guide you.", Professor Leo instructed.

As I recited the incantation, Noruycule Accaeola Venttio, an image began to form in my mind. However, it didn't resemble the materials that I had chosen. The imaged that form was a beautiful white duel ended wood staff with intricate carvings of planets and stars with a golden sun at one end and a silver crescent moon at the other. Hanging off the end of the moon and fastened in the center of the sun were two beautifully polished crystals that shown an array of colors when in the light. When I opened my eyes I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was the staff I had seen in my mind, on the ground was the carved off grey wood, leaving the pearly white wood underneath. Once shaped and polished the crystal clear amber reflected the sunlight creating a beautiful array of colors at its core.

Kyra's staff was made of a dark red wood, with carved flames at one end engulfing the orange amber that was shaped and polished to resemble the inner flames of a fire, and a crystal point at the other. Indra's staff was made of a pale blue wood carved to look like swirling waves with a deep blue orb in its center. Finally, Mina's staff was a made from a light brown wood, with tiny colorful flowers and green vines stretched from the top of the staff to its end. The top of the staff had a polished pink orb held in place by wood carved to look like tree roots.

As we completed the final task on our Earth scroll runes started to appear on each of us. Kyra's was the first tp appear, it formed on her back between her shoulder blades, Indra's appeared next becoming visible on the back of her leg at the top of her calf, Mina's was the third to appear at the top of her ribcage, mine was the last to appear, and it formed on the inner part of my arm at my wrist.
