An Option.

After school I went into the library to get some books for my english project about ancient Greek gods. I drove home in my old 2014 Honda car that I got myself as a present for my 16 birthday last summer,since nobody cared to give me a present I did it my self, working my ass off in a supermarket did pay off now I don't have to walk and take the train, because when you live in new York and you have to take the train with no money you might as well jump over the paying gate or slip in through the door without being caught by cops,but now I don't have to worry about that at all.

I got home walked into my room and threw my bag onto the floor and i took off my long sleeve shirt leaving my tanktop on looking at the bruises and scratches all over my arms. I started reading my book for my research project, I had collected 4 research books from the library because I really have to get an A on this project the lowest should be a B+ . As I read my Sister busted into my room without even knocking,she walked in dressed as the slut she is and knocked my book out of my hand.
"Go do the Dishes Bitch!" She snarled at me I got up.
" its your turn to do them Cassie" I said to her calmly I had to say it calmly or she would call mom and mom would beat the crap out of me.
" I know it is but if you don't do them I'll call mom and tell her you don't want to do the dishes"
"But I have to stud-" before I even finished she grabbed my arm
"Fuck studying! In life all you have to do is find a way to get money to survive, no matter what way it is or how you do it. " She walked away and slammed my door
"Just like you sleep with guys for money" I murmured. I put my books down went downstairs did the dishes after the dishes I went back upstairs and studied my books and started writing down about the Greek gods I took notes about the goddess Athena, The god Zeus And Zeus's Brother I took notes and fell asleep. I looked at my phone and it was 2:34am and mom and dad were already screaming and smashing and fighting I wasn't going to get in the middle of this I was scared too. I was scared of everyone in this house so all I did was cry, I cried hard but made sure they wouldn't hear my sobs, I cried for only ten minutes crying was my only option at this point I was already used to it every night, some nights they wouldn't argue and those nights were the best of my life when they didn't argue. But my only one and only option was to Cry! I couldn't do anything else about it because if I tried they would only beat me up. I peeked through the door and Mom caught me looking, she came into my room and slapped me so hard I fell to the ground.
"MIND YOUR BUISNESS BRAT!!" She yelled and she walked back out screaming at dad and I closed and locked my door I sat on my bed and cried then I started to think about what Madison said again. She's right those people aren't my parents.
