Chapter 5

Francesca's POV

I got Julia home and stayed for a while to wait for his Dad to come home.

"What the fuck did just happen?" She asked still in shock.

"Hey, it's alright, you're safe." I said and gently rubbed her back.

"How did you know it was me?" She asked me with teary eyes.

"I didn't know that it was you until I got closer to the both of you." I answered.

"Why are you always there when I need help?" She asked me again.

"I'm just on my way home, I'm not watching you." I said.

She sighed and grabbed an ice from the fridge and put it in an ice pack and gently put it on my bruised cheek.

"You shouldn't have done that." She said putting her finger on my chin to make me look at her.

"If I didn't ask something there, you already got raped by now, or worst, be dead." I said and flinched as I felt a pain on the bruise.

"Sorry, and thank you, for saving me there." She said looking into my eyes.

"That's nothing, you're important to me, so I have to keep you safe." I said.

"Am I that important to get me home all the time?" She asked.

I nodded and smiled at her. His Dad barged in the house with worried eyes and immediately hugged Julia when he saw her.

"Dad, I'm alright." She said.

"Oh my goodness, you scared the hell out of me." He said.

"I'm alright." She said again.

"Francesca, the guy was already in jail, and here's your handkerchief, thank you for saving my daughter." He said looking at me.

"No problem." I said.

"You should stay for the night, it's getting late." He said.

"It's alright, I have some things to do at home, it's just 10 minutes drive from here." I said.

"I owe you so much." He said.

"No, it's alright, your daughter helped me in school, I'm just giving back the favor." I said.

"Well, thank you again." He said.

"No problem, since you're already here, I guess I can go mow?" I asked Julia.

"I'll take you outside." Julia said.

"Take care Cesca." James said.

"You too." I said and went ahead.

"Be careful driving." Julia said.

"I will, go inside now." I said while leaning backwards to my car.

"I'll wait for you to go." She said.

"Come on, just get inside, if something happens to you tonight, I won't forgive myself." I said.

"Thank you." She said and hugged me tight.

"You're safe." I whispered to her ear and she tightened her hug.

"Have a save drive." She said.

"Go inside." I said.

She nodded and smiled at me and walked towards the door and gave me a last look before getting inside their house. I got home and took a shower and continued signing a whole box of papers that Lucas left in my living room, I decided to sign them outside at my balcony on my bedroom while I drink my cup of tea.
