"Taetae" she whispered out loud and a single tear escaped her eye.
"You remember everything" Taehyung couldn't believe what he was hearing, she indeed remembered him. He thought that perhaps the events of last night were just a dream and it didn't happen. But she remembered him. She remembered the nickname she gave him years ago when they were just little kids running around in the snow and playing a snowball fight. Y/N on the other hand was still going through everything that she remembered in such a short period of time. She had just woken up and got thrown with a billion memories from years ago. She was confused and... angry.
"You knew all this time! You knew who I was! You knew that we were best friends, even almost-boyfriend and girlfriend and you didn't say anything, how could you?" She shouted. Y/N was fuming anger. Her eyes were dark and filled with rage and pain. She felt betrayed, after all, she has been made a fool for more than two months. He knew her all this time and never tried to tell her that he used to be her best friend.
"Did you just say we were almost-boyfriend and girlfriend?"
"Arrg! Is that all you could take from that? Unbelievable Kim Taehyung! Unbelievable! Tell me did you just hire me because you knew me, or because I was suitable for the job? Am I that good of a lawyer or did you act with pity?" Y/N eyes were scanning Taehyung's face and body, trying to look for a reaction to her question. Taehyung's eyes were filled with conflict and doubt. His body was stiff with the tension that was felt in the room. If someone walked in right now they could feel the tension and cut it with a knife.
"I-" Was all he managed to say, he didn't know what to say. He even started to doubt his own mind. Did he hire her because she had a good curriculum or because he was too hyped up to see her again in his life? Did he give her the cases because she deserved them, or only because he wanted to spend more time with her? He, at this point, was having an internal conflict with his own emotions and true intentions.
"Taehyung...tell me for once. Did you hire me because of my competencies, or because you wanted me on your life again?" Y/N was slowly losing her cool and patience. She was upset and wanted answers now, and the correct ones. Because she was, also, in an internal conflict. If he hired her because of their past, would she be able to decline the job and find a new one? But is that what she wanted? She was happy now. She had new friends and was progressing in her career. And even if she didn't want to admit, right now, because of the whole tense situation between her and Taehyung, she liked to work with him and be around him. She didn't want to lose what she has at the moment.
