(Y/n)'s POV
~Five years later~
It's already been five years when we moved out here to Shibuya. With that five years I didn't get the chance to call Seishu and Koko. Because by the time that I already move on, on what Seishu said, they didn't answering their phone. They probably already change their phone numbers. And just last year Tria died, she was hit by a car. I badly miss her. She's one of my comfort, but now she's gone.
Bad events really just keep happening without any warning. This cursed world is so cruel.
"Mitsutada-san, are you okay?" I snapped out of my trance when I felt a tap on my shoulders. I raised my head and saw the worried expression of my homeroom teacher.
"I-I'm very sorry, Yoshihara-sensei." I immediately apologized as I make a bow to her.
"If you're not feeling well, feel free to tell me. So I can atleast call your mother to pick you up." She said with a worry tone.
"I-I'm really fine, I just zoned out. I'm sorry." I looked up to her and saw her sigh before smiling at me. "Okay, but if you're really not feeling well, just tell me."
"Uh... Yes."
She turned her back at me and walked towards her table. I saw her picked up something before going back to where I was standing. "Is it okay if you can give this to your classmates?"
I looked at the notebooks piled up on both of her hands before looking back at her. "Yes! I'll do it."
"Thank you, I can really count on you, Mitsutada-san. And also, I'm really sorry for the trouble I'm giving you. I can't really go to your room since there's still a lot of things I should do here." She frowned where a hint of sadness could be heard at her voice.
'Teachers are busy after all.'
"No problem, I'm not really troubled. It's the least I can do after all." I gave her my assuring smile which made her smile at me back. "I'll get going, Yoshihara-sensei."
I carefully take out from her hand the notebooks, before bowing a little to avoid the things I'm holding from falling. "Thank you again and be careful."
She opened the door for me since I can't open it with both of my hands occupied by the notebooks. I gave her another gentle smile before taking a step outside the teachers office room. The pile of notebooks that I was holding was already reaching the bottom of my chin. It's not that much and it's enough for me to see my path ahead.
There's a quite few students I met along the way because it's already break time. I still have to go upstairs since our classroom is on the second floor, while I am now on the first floor. While walking, I turned left in the direction of the staircase that connects the first and second floor.
Without even noticing the other person, my eyes widen when I suddenly collided with someone. I just backed away a little since I reacted quickly to support my body from falling. But half of the notebooks I was holding fell along with the person I collided with on the floor.
"O-ouch! That hurts!!" I heard him shrieked when his body met the cold concrete floor.
Still a little surprised by what suddenly happened, I immediately put down the remaining notebooks in my hands to the floor and approached him for a help.
"I-uh... I'm sorry... I didn't happen to see you. Are you okay?" I asked worriedly at him and was about to laid out my hands, but was stopped by a loud laugh.
"Pfft- HAHAHAHAHA!!! That's the reason why you should grow taller!" His friend who was standing beside him teased him, while slapping his lap due to laughter.
