- "Aren't you going to eat with me today," Nanon asked Ohm as he placed two plates filled with food on the table, hoping Ohm would finally eat with him. Nanon would wake up early every morning for the only purpose to get to have some time together with Ohm since Ohm always worked from early mornings till late nights, and Nanon would've fallen asleep at that time.
However, Ohm never seemed to care. He'd wake up in the morning, take a shower, put on his clothes, and go to work. It hasn't always been like this. Ohm and Nanon knew each other since they were in elementary school and they have been together since then. Both of them felt a type of love that wasn't meant for just friends or brothers, it was a much stronger type of love. One night when they were in 9th grade, Ohm had mustered up his courage and asked for Nanon to be his boyfriend. Since Nanon liked him back, he of course said yes. When they got to Nanon's 25th birthday, Ohm proposed to him, and to that, Nanon also said yes.
Their first 3 years of marriage felt like heaven. Both of them were so happy and they couldn't ask for more, however, after that, things started to take a turn. Nanon felt as if Ohm had started to distance himself from him. Ohm stopped asking Nanon out on dates, and when Nanon would ask him, he'd say things along the lines of "I'm busy", "not right now", "I have other plans for tonight", so eventually, he stopped asking. The same thing applies to their sex life. Nanon tried to initiate it but Ohm would always step away, even when it came to kissing and they didn't even share the same room anymore. Ohm explained that he needed his own room so that he wouldn't disturb Nanon, but he knew that wasn't the truth. Even though Nanon felt frustrated and sad, he put his feelings to the side and thought about how Ohm might have been feeling. Maybe he needed a little time for himself, but he didn't know that it'd take years. It has been 5 years since they got married and Ohm had been distancing himself for 2 years.
- "Ohm?" Nanon spoke again, this time hoping for an answer from Ohm.
- "I don't have time for that. I'll get going now." Ohm said annoyingly, not even looking at Nanon. Nanon could feel his heart aching in pain. Even if Ohm had been behaving like this for 2 years, he couldn't get used to it at all. He missed the old Ohm. The Ohm who would never let Nanon eat alone since he knew how much eating alone hurt Nanon. The old Ohm who used to cling to him all the time and shower him with love and kisses. That Ohm seemed to be nowhere in sight.
- "Can't you at least just sit with me if you don't want to eat? You know how much I hate eating alone.? Nanon asked again at the edge of crying. Tears filled his eyes and his shaky words came out as a whisper.
- "Shiaa, why can't you just understand that I'm busy? You're being so fucking annoying right now, you know that? I honestly wish you'd just shut up right now." Ohm said, slightly raising his voice and slamming the front door as he left the apartment, making Nanon flinch in shock as he was caught off guard. He had never seen Ohm speak to him in that tone no matter how angry he was. Nanon crutched down and leaned his body on the kitchen counter as he couldn't stop himself from crying. He was hurting so much.
Hours went by and Nanon couldn't get up from the kitchen floor. All the crying and his miserable feelings sucked out all the energy he had left in his body. Nanon finally had enough, he couldn't keep going like this. If ohm stopped loving him, it's better for him to know that so both of them can go their own paths and Nanon would stop getting hurt by Ohm's behavior. That's why Nanon decided to talk to Ohm as soon as he came back, which was very soon.
A few minutes later, the front door opened as Ohm went inside the apartment, going straight to his room. Nanon gathered all the energy he had left, stood up, and made his way to Ohm's room.
- "Ohm?" Nanon knocked on the door and opened it a few seconds later. Seeing a tired Ohm going back and forth.
- "Can I talk to you?" Nanon asked, trying his best to keep his composure.
- "Not right now, I have to go on a business trip in an hour so I don't have time.?" Ohm said as he packed his clothes into a suitcase.
-"When will you come back?" Nanon asked as he felt a little disappointed.
- "Two months."
- "Oh, okay." Even if Nanon felt disappointed by Ohm's sudden trip, he somehow thought that it might be a good idea to be apart from each other for some time. That way, Ohm will have some alone time.
Nanon went back to his room as he was too tired and when he woke up the next day, Ohm was nowhere in sight. He didn't even say goodbye to Nanon, and that broke and hurt Nanon's feelings even more. ♠️
