Ch4: Dance

I arrived just in time. My instructor was about to lecture us again about always being punctual and how it would look not only bad on us but this dance studio. We were called The Grim Reapers. Not the best name for the studio, but ever since we've entered any show or competition we would slaughter the competition. We were known to be the reason why dance studios either shut down or just never competed again.
To even top it off my teacher's name was Ms. Raven she married into the name. It's very fitting because everyone knows when you see a flock of Ravens, death is always lurking in the shadows. So the name of the studio was just solidified and just accepted. Ms. R didn't care whatsoever. I think she's proud that she's built this reputation.

      "Y/n, y/n" I heard my teacher say.

"Yes," I reply quickly because I was not in the mood to do my routine 100 times in front of my class and get criticized for it.

"How's the solo coming. Remember the competition is in a couple of weeks. Make sure you have it down."

I say "I'm almost done, I have to work out some kinks and I'll be ready."

My teacher nodded. She then turned her attention to the class. Some kids beside me are doing a solo, but the rest are doing a group dance. All 20 of us are going to compete. It's been like that since the beginning and it will continue to be like that till the end. So to do the math 5 of us are doing solo's and the other 15 will be doing a group dance. The class will break down further than that by age and style.

The class was dismissed. I leave out the door. Don't worry I'm not ditching. This studio is so big we have individual rooms, for individual solos. I enter my room. Each student who has earned their right the perform a solo gets their room with their names on it.

I entered mine. It was like any ballet room there were brown laminate floors with a huge mirror that covers half a wall. There was also a bar for practice. I walked up to the only chair that was in the room and played it. Time to practice. Yay!! (sarcastically).

15-20 mins later.....

Done, finally, Omgosh I'm tired. I heard my phone go off and saw that Haji texted me to go and pick him and his loser "boyfriend" up. I left the room and grabbed the towel that was neatly folded outside my room. I said goodbye to my teacher and the other kids who are still there. I silently prayed for them because if they weren't ending now they weren't going to end till like 1 am. I hopped in the car and it was like 9 pm.
