"You, Me! Hoooo. You rock my worlddddd " a slim light skinned young man sat in the front office room singing along with what I could easily tell was Michael Jackson

"Oh shit!?" He quickly removed his headphones recognizing a new presence in the room

"Uh, sorry it's uh..." he started

"MJ, I understand." I smile, hoping he doesn't feel embarrassed

"Yea, yea it is" he returned the smile noticeably looking me up and down

Causing a slight wave of anxiety to come over me because I had done nothing to my face this morning but brush my eyebrows and slap some lipgloss on my lips. And I slapped on some baggy cargo pants a white ribbed tank, and oversized Celtics jersey of Ime's and ran out the door with whatever curls the shower created for me and my hair this morning

"Yea you can't really hum to Michael" I started my checking in paperwork I found laid out for me with the rest of the women on suspension

We were basically "voluntold" to help at a city event, we'd be doing the same thing we'd do if we'd had volunteered just extra work on the set up and shut down.

"No, once you've started,you're kind of obligated to
to belt it out," he responds

"Yeah" I nod not sure if the conversation would continue or not

"I'm Jordan," he introduces himself "you're the new media producer, right?"

"Yeah, technically associate producer but yea, I'm-I'm Kate," I answer surprised that someone of no blood relation remembered me and he gives me a warm smile before attempting to place his headphones back over his ears

"So, um, where is everybody?" I ask out loud only to be met with a confused expression from Jordan

"Set up duty for suspension?" I elaborate to clarify my question

"You-You came early for suspension?" he laughs almost hysterically

"Oh, um, well, it's, you know...I would hate to m-miss a minute... of being...suspended," I stutter out of embarrassment
