"Good evening, sir. How may I help you?" The old man behind the counter smiles.
"I'd like a room if you have any available." Abigor states, as he sets Skiler and Rebel's bag on the floor next to his feet.
"Yes, sir. We have plenty of rooms." The man says, as he reaches for the registry.
"Great. I just heard teo men over at the saloon complaining they couldn't get a room. I was afraid I had come too late." Abigor says, as he signs in.
"Oh, yeah, that must have been those two freaks that came in wanting to perform sinful sinful acts in my hotel." The man says, as he hands Abigor a key to his room.
"Sinful acts?" Abigor asks with a raised brow, as he lays the money on the counter.
"Let me tell you, son. This town was once a God-fearing town. They they started allowing those homosexuals to walk around freely. Well, not in MY hotel. Those sinful creatures are not allowed." The old man smiles proudly. "Third floor, room seven."
"Oh, okay." Abigor fakes a smile, as he reaches down for his bag. He found himself biting his tongue not to give the old man a piece of his mind. But Skielr and Rebel needed a place to stay so he thought better of it. "Thank you."
"Have a nice stay." The man calls out, as Abigor heads for the stairs.
"Sure thing, asshole." Abigor mumbles, as he reaches the hallway where his room was located. As he walks to his room, he silently prayed that he would not have anyone in the rooms around him. That's all he needed was for his neighbors complaining to the old man and having him come up and catch Skiler and Rebel in the room fucking.
A door opsn to one of the rooms he had passed, glancing over his shoulder, he see's Jace coming out.
"Hi, Jace." Abigor says, as he starts to put the key into the keyhole.
"Hey, buddy. Listen, have you seen Ski and Rebs? I'm worried about them. That jerk downstairs just literally kicked them out of here. Wouldn't even rent them a room." Jace says, shaking his head.
"Come inside." Abigor says, as he walks into his room. Jace follows him in and Abigor closes the door behind them. "I'm not actually renting this room for myself." He replies, as he walks over to open the window.
"Okay?" Jace answers in a questioning voice.
"I'm renting it for them." Abigor says, as he wlaks out onto the small balcony and points down to the street below.
Jace walks over and looks over the railing. He smiles as he see's the couple waiting patiently in the alley.
Skiler and Rebel had left Ringo and Sundance at the stables to be fed and watered. They didn't know which room they would be having so they were having to watch the entire side of the building.
"There." Rebel says, pointing as he see's their two friends walk out on the balcony.
"Damn, that's high up." Ski says. He had never been one to like heights.
"Well, we can always go back to the barn." Rebel says, looking around at his lover.
"No, absolutely not. I can do this." Ski says with an unsire nod. "I think." Adding the last part in a whisper.
"Come on." Rebel giggles, as he grabs Skiler's hand and leads him over to the ladder. "Just don't look down."
"Thanks." Ski mumbles, as he reaches up for the ladder.
"Rebel knew that his boyfriend was deathly afraid of heights so he was going to follow the blonde up the ladder so he could whisper words of encouragement.
"You got this, sweetie." Rebel says in a soft voice as they climb.
"Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit." Ski whispers, as he climbs higher.
"You're doing great." Rebel says. "Just don't look down and you'll be fine."
"Are we almost there?" Ski asks. He was afraid to look up and he was afraid to look down.
"Almost." Rebel answers.
"Come on, Ski. I got ya." Abigor says, as he reaches down to take the outlaw's hand.
"You nuts? I'm not turning loose of this ladder." Ski says, as he tightens his grip.
"Honey, you climb the ladder all the time at the barn." Rebel says, as he climbs up behind his paralyzed lover.
"It's not three stories off the fucking ground either." Ski replies.
"We're not going to let you fall." Abigor says, as he and Jace reach over the railing and grabs him by the wrists. "But you're going to have to turn loose."
"If I fall to my death, I swear on everything that's holy, I will come back and haunt every single one of you till the day you take your last breath." Ski growls, as he looks up to meet his friend's eyes.
"That's not ever going to happen." Jace chuckles, as he and Abigor pull the outlaw over the railing.
Rebel quickly climbs over and pulls his lover into his arms. "I knew you could do it."
"Not a word of this to the other guys. Got it?" Ski says, as he straightens his cowboy hat and heads inside. "I got a reputation to uphold."
The other three chuckle and shake their heads as they follow their fearless leader inside the room.
"Wow. This is nice." Rebel says, as he looks around the room.
"The best part is that we have the whole floor to ourselves." Jace smiles. "I told the guy that I was a writer and that I needed a room with peace and quiet."
"Apparently, he didn't think I would be a problem for you." Abigor chuckles. " Boy, was he wrong."
"If you don't want to leave the same way you came in then the best time to check out is about ten o'clock in the morning. The old man always leaves for a couple hours to tend to his farm. Some other guy watches the registry until he gets back." Jace says.
"Might I suggest that you not leave together? That might raise suspicions." Abigor adds. "I'm sure the guy that fills in follows the old man's rules."
"Rebel and I hadn't eaten all day. Is there any way that you guys could slip some food up here?" Ski asks, as he sits down on the bed.
"Sure, I'll take care of that right now." Jace says, as he heads for the door.
"Wait." Ski says, as he starts to dig into his pocket for some money.
"Don't worry about it, Ski. I got it." Jace smiles, as he walks out of the room.
"You know, guys, there's a theater in town. Jenika and I are thinking about going tomorrow if y'all would like to come." Abigor says, as he heads towards the door. He had some unfinished business to take care of.
"A theater?" Rebel asks with a smile. "That sounds exciting. I've never been to one."
"Jenika says it's pretty cool. They put on acts, There's singing. Magic arts. All sorts of things." Abigor adds.
"Will we be allowed in? Or will we have to go seperately and pretend not to know each other?" Ski asks with a raised brow.
"As much as I would love to go, if that's the case, you can forget it." Rebel says.
"Guys, please don't let that old fart ruin your fun." Abigor says.
"Well, we are hiding out in a hotel that we're not supposed to be in. We can't go to the restuarant and eat like a normal couple." Ski states with a shrug. " It's been a blast so far." He adds with a slight roll of his eyes.
"Abigor?" Jenika calls out, as she lightly taps on the door.
Abigor walks over and opens the door.
She walks in carrying a plate of food followed by Jace carrying another plate.
"Looked like he needed some help." Jenika smiles, as she handed the plate to the outlaw.
Jace hands the plate he was carrying to Rebel and the couple quickly digs in.
"Jenika? I was asking Ski and Rebel to come with us tomorrow to the theater. They want to come but they feel that they may not be welcomed as a couple." Abigor says.
"That won't be a problem." Jenika says, shaking her head.
"Yeah? That's what you said about this hotel too." Ski says with a mouth full of food.
"It won't be a problem, Skiler." Jenika says. "I know the owner. He's gay."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
