"I can't believe you guys are fighting right now." Eli spoke in annoyance, standing outside of the school, waiting in line. "Have you even talked to her?"
"I'm just looking out for her." Demetri threw his hands up. "Kody could be a secret Cobra Kai."
"Dude, he use to do my hair, he's not." the Moskowitz boy rolled his eyes. "You're just jealous."
Demetri huffed. "Yup."
Eli had to take a double take when he said it. "W-What did you say?"
"I said yup." Demetri mocked his huff again. "Fleurs my universal gravitation, we're attracted together."
Eli tossed his hands over his head. "Tell her you love her!"
"I can't, she's here with her himbo." Demetri rolled his eyes. "And even if she wasn't, i'm not gonna screw up our friendship."
It took everything Eli had not to tell Demetri what Fleur had said when they went to get pizza.
"I broke up with Yasmine." Demetri sighed, and Eli was loosing it. "I felt bad leading her on like that."
He went to talk, stopping as he caught sight of a familiar face. "Don't look."
But, he did. The pair watched Fleur ride over on her skateboard, Kody holding onto her from the back, holding her heels for her. Demetri watched her zoom past him, a grin across his face. "Did you see how pretty she looks?"
"You're gonna tell her. You are." Eli slapped his shoulder, pulling him toward the check in. "Let's get you some spiked punch to give you the nerve."
"Never." Demetri laughed in disbelief.
"Fleur." Kody spoke up, and it caught her attention. "I see that boy you're staring at."
Fleur looked over with a guilty look. "I'm so sorry. I'm a horrible date."
Kody shook his head, scooting in closer to her. "That's Demetri, right? With Hawk, that isn't Hawk anymore."
"Yeah." Fleur sighed as they watched. "We got in a fight this morning, but he's my best friend."
"You're in love with your best friend?" Kody sipped his drink, Fleur looked over. "Don't worry, i'm cool with being the strung along hair dresser to make the other person jealous."
"I'm a terrible person." Fleur winced.
Kody laughed at her. "You're not doing anything I haven't done before. Why did you guys fight?"
"You, actually." Fleur gave a cheeky grin his way.
"Oh? Do tell." he leaned on his hands with a wiggle of his eyebrows. "I love being the topic."
"He just didn't think we should come together." the lavender-blonde shook her head. "And he was right, i'm a horrible date."
"What? Come on, i'm having a blasted here." Kody nodded his head. "Never been on a skateboard before."
