2 in the morning

I wake up to the sound of my mother coughing and gasping for breath I hurry and jump out the bed. Opening my door I see her on the floor crouching over

"Ma you ok?" I bend over and start rubbing her back in circles

"Yeah I'm ok just feels like it's hard to breathe did I wake you up?"

"Nah you good ma I'm finna make you some tea if we have some "

After I help her up into her bed I go into the kitchen to look for some tea bags and manage to find only one. I boil some water and drops the tea bag in and wait until it cools down, I grab a cup from the cabinet and tries to wash it out before pouring it but to no surprise the waters off.

"Mmch water always Fuckin off " I mumble

Recently My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and since then she had to quit her job because she became to sick for work so there's barely food nor water and lights. And now it's getting worse she barely has energy anymore.

I walk to her room and pulls out the pills she needs for the day and hands her tea. She finishes her tea and I tuck her into her bed and watches her fall back asleep. It's getting bad and I'm not sure I'm ready for what's gonna happen next for her.

Walking back to my room I grab my phone off the charger and checks my notifications and I see my bro Dre text me I open it and reads it.

Me: You know Yeen have to ask bro come on

Left Hand 🤚🏾 🧱: Bet, leave yo back door unlocked

Me: Ight

I get back up and goes through the kitchen to the back door and unlocks the door. Walking back to my room I hop on tik tok and Instagram to pass time

~20 Minutes Later~

I hear my back door open and close, Dre walks into my room and lays on the floor looking up at the ceiling. Dre and Shawn been my dawgs for years since little jhits and I know his situation better then anybody I would split my last with this dude. Loyalty ain even the word for us. We brothers.
