Dunkerque had enough, After Germany Successfully conquered France and after the Attack on Mers-el-Kébir incident where her sister ship Strasbourg, who was about to turn into a shipgirl at that time went missing or was sunk by the British, Dunkerque made up her mind and decided to leave the Vichy government due to the German's using them to strengthen there navy, she knows she'll be killed by the German and Vichy shipgirls but she didn't care
and as she declare to the Vichy Officers that she'll leave the alliance the Vichy Government is now trying to find a way to kill her and as she left we could see Jean Bart trying to convince her to change her mind
Jean Bart: Dunkerque please there is something we could do?!
Dunkerque: My Decision is final Jean, and they are now making a plan to sink me or kill me as we speak
Jean Bart: But-
Dunkerque: *holds Jean Bart's shoulder* I know you're worried about me but please I've already decided please *and then she wears a grey coat to cover her identity* I'll leave now
Jean Bart: I- *clenched her fists* Stay safe
Dunkerque: I will *summons her fully repaired ship* Thank you *and then she escapes from river*
And then German shipgirls appeared behind her and then one of them spoke
German shipgirl: Do you see the Traitor?
Jean Bart: *points into a different direction instead of the river* She went that way quickly head there before she could summon her rigging to escape!
and then The German Shipgirls head to the direction where Jean pointed and then when they are already gone Jean Bart spoke
Jean Bart: Wherever you are Dunkerque be safe
and then she returned to the Vichy Navy HQ to see if her ship's construction is finished and from there on Dunkerque's New Life had begun
