Re-pov: the air smelled of salt and the sky was a dusky orange as it was early morning. No one was awake,good. I have the ship to myself. One of my last ever adventures as Prince Remus. I wonder if mermaids exist.....
Lo-pov:i swam quickly from the palace after his majesty made me take a break. I decided to go to my small secrect cave near the shoreline. It was my home away from home,as King Patton has made me take two weeks off. As i get near to it,i also get closer to the great high blue,but this time it was orange. Then everything went dark. I was under something,i presumed a whale,but realised i was to high up. I decided to swim closer to the thing. It was out the water! Well,partly. I climed up,using my satchel as a weight. I climed up to near the top and looked through a small hole in the wood it was made of. I saw a person,but they had two tales. Then it figeratively hit me. It was a human,the thing no one knew whether it existed or not. I must have gasped because it turned around and looked at me. I got a good look at its face,and im glad i did,as it changed my life forever
Re-pov: i heard a gasp behind me,and there was someone who was soaking and was clinging onto the ship. Wow... Hes so attractive. His hair...
Lo-pov: Its hair...
Re-pov: his eyes...

Lo-pov:its body...
Both-pov:wow... I think im in love...
Lo-pov: i then remembered thr many storys of humans stealing and selling our scales,so i jumped off the ship,and the human tried to stop me. I could hear him:
"Wait!"
"Hello?"
"Where did you go?"
It was saddening to hear his crys
"Wait,his bag!"
Oh shit,my bag. I checked my side,it wasnt there. As i looked up,the ship bedan to move. I decided that,as i had two weeks to myself, i would follow it. I knew the ocean very well,so i would be able to make my way back.
Re-pov: the person quickly jumped off the ship and i ran after it,im sure i saw scales... Was that a mermaid?!?!?! Holy shit! I stepped back and stepped on something. I looked down and saw
"Wait,his bag!"
I picked it up and ran to my quarters. I spent most the day in there,trying to convince myself to search his bag. Eventually i did.
A coulple days later we finally docked at a harbour to re stock supplys. I didnt help, i went exploring. I had gathered quite alot of seaglass abd cool looking pebbles when i saw a faint shimmer just around the cliff,id have to swim to get to it. Im Remus,so if course i did. It was a cave,i couldnt see in,id have to duck to get in as the entrance was mainly underwater. I was curious,so i did. It was beautiful,shells and seaglass lined the rocky walls,along with things like small sapphires and other treasures. But the thing that caught my eye the most was him. Id found him again. He looked paniked,and i realised i was right. He was a mermaid!
Lo-pov: i had made it to my cave,trying to get the human and the loss of my bag out of my head. I had tried to stop following them.a while ago,but we were headed in the same direction. I listened to the waves and realised they sounded closer to tne enterance than usual,this was normal though. It could be explain with many different reasons. Untill i heard a sma 'woah'behind me. I turned around,and there was the human! He had noticed me to at this point,and my tail. I reached for my dagger in my bag,then remembered it wasnt there. I pushed myself further onto the sand,and he followed me.
Re-pov: he seemed scared. I remembered he had a cool dagger in his bag, which he didnt have. I followed him up on the sand which he had backed himself onto,and introduced myself
Lo-pov:
"Hello,my name is Prince Remus,whats yours?"
Of course he was a prince,he looked like he was from a fairytale. Wait-nevermind.
"Hello your highness,im royal assistant Logan"
I decided he might back off and not kill me if he knew my title. I hope he didnt hear the fear in my voice.
He smiled,"Hi Logan,your really attractive" he said. I was flustered,did he feel the same way i did? But why me?
"Is this some sort of distraction technique so i lower my figerative guard so you can kill me easier?"
He assured me it was not,and we talked for a while.
Re-pov: hes super smart,and talks very properly. Hes so hot.
I decided to be forward about my feelings
"Hey,do you make people fall inlove with you? Because im in love"
This stunned him,then he spoke:
"Apoligies Prince Re-"
"Just call me Remus"
"Apoligies Remus,but im afraid that i do not make others fall inove with me,not that i know of"
"Then..can i kiss you?"
He blushed hard at this,but said:
"U-um s-sure"
I kisssed him softly but passionatly,his lips tasted of cherrys and a small hint of rum. His lips were warm,despite him living in the ocean.
I picked him up,still kissing him. He squeaked at this,but didnt break the kiss. I put him on my lap and kissed him harder,him doing so too. We pulled apart,both panting. Thats when i noticed his teeth,they were sharp,cool!
"Logan,will you date me?"
I decided to take my chances
"Yes! I-im mean,yes."
We both laughed,and that was the first time i saw him genuenly smile. It was cute,he was cute. And hes mine. The rest of the day we spent kissing and cuddling and talking. When my crew started searching,we decided that he would come find when he could,and i would wait for him. I told him which kingdom im from,and he knew where it was. He'd follow the ship till he had to leave,and id sneak him aboard at night. I gave him his stuff back,of course.
When the day came when he had to leave,i waved goodbyr at dawn,he promised he'd find me again,if i didnt leave him. As much i could joke about leaving him,i could never. When i went back into my quarters,i found a flower crown on my desk made of flowers and seaweed, a necklace with a deep blue sapphire and a note. The note read:
Dear my Love,
Im afraid that if your reading this we had to part,but do not fear. Wait at the shore line of your kingdom facing east when you miss me. Look for me in the deep blue and the stars. I will return to my kingdom as well,but do not fear,i will come and find you one day soon. Just keep me in your memory

I swapped my crown for the flower crown,and put on the necklace,and said
"I will wait everyday for you"
