Once more, Amelia woke up in an inexplicit state, she looked around and found that this is not the hospital's room. Instead, it is a wide dreamy blue room- her favourite colour with simple furniture, but everything other than the colour... is unfavourable, the room is suffocating, there is the only window in the entire area, but it is surrounded by steel fittings and has metal bars running through it. There's a locked door as well. The horrible smell of steriliser, the odour flew in very deep into her nose, sickened.

Where am I...? Her thought was cut by the sudden sound of the door unfastening.

"Amy..."- A low deep voice lifts

"Alex? Where am I? Why am I here?"- Amelia asked disorientated while staggered up

"Amy, this is my apartment but firstly please lay down, your wounds are not recovered yet"- Alexander said, helping Amelia back to the bed. Alexander sat down next to Amelia and gave her a spoonful of medicine, but she turned away and refused.

"Amy... Please take the med, your body is still very weak."- Alexander said despondently.

Amelia deliberately raised her hand to knock over the medicine bowl, it fell to the floor and broke. Taking advantage of Alexander's inattentiveness, she stole a sharp broken fragment. Waiting for Alexander to go out to get things and clean up the mess, Amelia used the fragment to mercilessly cut her wrist. Amelia really wanted to die, she cut her wrist very badly, the bleeding didn't stop.
Fortunately, Alexander discovered in time, afraid that Amelia would continue to slit her wrists, he gave her a sedative.

On a gloomy afternoon, the pale young lady slowly opened her eyes and sat up. Just as she sat up, Alexander came in with the medicine. Seeing that Amelia is awake, he is a little bit jubilated.

"Amy.."- Alexander called to inquire.

She slowly looks at him, face with no expression. After a while, she disappointingly asks:

"Why did you save me?" Alexander tried to hold back his distress and said "Don't act like that... Amy..."

Amelia laughs mockingly.

"So now my qualification to die does not even exist?"

Amelia moved her gaze to Alexander's eyes which had soaking wet.

"If then, give me a good reason to live," said Amelia loftily

"Amy... Actually, I... I..."

Alexander likes Amelia. But could he say that he has feelings for Amelia right now? Doing so will only make her hate him more. Until now, Amelia only considered Alexander as a childhood friend.

Faltered for a whole day, Alexander decided not to have such a speech.

A sinister laugh, Amelia said, once more, loftily:

"After all, you still couldn't find just one reason for me to live, pathetic." she lays down, turns her face to the wall, and says coldly:

"Please leave me alone..."

"Amy..."- Alexander said in a pitiful tone.

"GO AWAY!"- Amelia shouted out, unexpectedly

Alexander doesn't want to bother her anymore, so he immediately takes steps.

______________

For the next few weeks, Alexander only brings Amelia food and medicine. Days and days, she only eats and sleeps, but Amelia is getting thinner and thinner, her face pale and lifeless as if just a light touch would make her disappear.

Alexander only goes out when seeing the one he loves to lay down on the bed, eyes closed. Looking at the thin back of the person in the room, he could only sigh and close the door.

______________

"AMY! WATCH OUT!"- A familiar voice sounded like it was a bit rushed

RUMBLE

"THE PEOPLE ARE HERE!"

"THE WOMAN AND THE MAN ARE AGONISING!"

AMBULANCE SIRENS

Mom...dad...!

EMERGENCY BELL NOISES

"HEART STOPPED! IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FIRST CARDIOGENIC SHOCK!"

"NO RESPONSE! THE SECOND TIME!"

"NO RESPONSE EITHER!"

"THE THIRD TIME!"

"NO RESPONSE!"

No...No...! PLEASE SAVE THEM!

MONITOR SOUNDS BEEP- BEEP- BEEP----

"The patient passed away at 5:14..."

"NOOOOO!"- Amelia screamed dreadfully in the darkroom

Alexander heard the scream, hastily ran into the room, his steps can even be recognized from two floors away. Seeing Amelia sitting in a daze, with a thin layer of sweat on her forehead..

"AMY! What happened!?"- He asked worriedly.

Amelia fell into Alexander's arms and sobbed.

"It is all my fault... I killed them...!"

Alexander seemed to know that Amelia had had a nightmare. He hugs Amelia tightly.

"It's not your fault... It is not..."

"Alex... Looks like I have no one left by my side."- Amelia burst into tears.

"You... still have... me."- Alexander said with a trembling voice

"You...." - Amelia said soberly

Why are you treating me so well? The better you treat me, the more I can't bear to leave...

Amelia cried until she was too tired and fell asleep. Alexander benevolently put her back to bed.

"Good night Amy. It is not your fault and... I am here with you."- He went out and closed the door.
_______

From that day onwards, Amelia no longer intends to harm herself, more smiles appear on her face but she still doesn't look the same as before.
One afternoon, on his way back from the grocery store, Alexander happened to see a pot of dandelions on display at the flower shop, after some reluctance, he decided to purchase the flower pot to take home. Alexander took down the iron frame in Amelia's room a few days ago and replaced it with some lightweight curtains. He put the dandelion planter on the window ledge after asking Amelia a few questions. Amelia didn't even notice the pot's existence at first, but when a sudden blast of wind blew dandelion seeds over the room, she was startled and plunged into deep lethargy.
"Giving up time to spread happiness, being enthusiastic to show kindness, as the lots of the seeds, like the dandelion, like you."- Oddly enough, this was what she heard in her mind, voiced by her beloved mom. Tears started to roll down her cheeks, but this time it was unconventional. It was tears of delight.

"Thank you, Alex."- She smiled.

Alexander contentedly looked at Amelia who was staring at a pot of dandelions.
