"My violin was made to power up The Master Sword, which isn't around anymore." Makar stated, "But maybe, if there were a way to combine the power of my violin with the sacred power of the spirits, we could pull it off!"

"..."

"..."

"...I just don't know how to do that." He admitted.

"Ah!" Link's eyes widened as it suddenly hit him - he might not hold that power himself, but he had something that did. Reaching into his bag, he pulled out the spirit flute.

"Oh! You have your own instrument!" Makar said. "That's very convenient! Maybe we could use it to temporarily lend the power of the spirits to my violin!"

He took position.
"Okay, Link. I'll lead you in. It shouldn't be too hard to get down if you know what you're doing."

Link got his spirit flute ready.

"Okay, here goes!"

Makar started playing. The melody was fast-paced, causing Link to stumble a little bit while practicing. However, Makar was patient...unlike some other Sages that Link had encountered. It's not very easy to match the exact notes and tempo on the first try.
This time, it only took him a couple of minutes to get the hang of things. Together, Link and Makar played the opening to The Wind God's Aria.
...Link peeked an eye open.
Sure enough, a golden light began to emit from the pan flute. Slowly but surely, it began to envelop Makar's violin as well...
He stopped playing as the opening concluded, allowing Makar to do his thing. He played the violin as if it were a cello - it was way too big for him, after all. Link found it adorable, but refrained from making it known.
As the song concluded, the light burst from Makar's violin.
"Gah!" Link's eyes widened.
The light barreled into his sword, causing him to stumble back a little bit, but he retained his balance.
"Whoa..."
The light formed a green aura around it's blade. So it worked, then...

"Wow!" Makar exclaimed, "I can't believe that actually worked!"

"..."

"...I was totally expecting it to."

Link smiled. He turned around and swung his sword towards a fallen root - a gust of wind flew from the blade and knocked the vine away.

"It looks like the combined forces of The Wind God and the spirits allows your sword to create gusts of wind!" Makar concluded. "Wow..."

This would be helpful against enemies - if he ends up overwhelmed, he can just blow them away!

"Well...I guess that's it then, Link. I'm glad I could repay you!"

"Oh- one more thing! If you're looking for more Sages, I may know where to find one!"

Link gasped.
He knew where to find more? Well , it made sense - he was a sage, maybe he knew others.

"There's an island just off the coast of the Ocean Realm. I'm not sure how you'll get there, but that's where the Sage of the Earth lives...So I guess...this is goodbye, Link."

Link frowned. He was going to miss Makar...
"Promise you'll come visit me before I leave, okay? I'll be waiting for you!"

Link nodded, then said his goodbyes.
He began to walk back through the forest path.

"Goodbye, Link! See you soon!!"

Link made his way back to the Spirit Train.
He knew where he needed to go - however, he was hit with a...small problem.
He had no idea how to get to the island. His train couldn't exactly drive over the ocean...
...Not without tracks, anyway.
