A/N No but this was so easy to write and for what. I totally deviated from the plan but it didn’t change anything, just chopped a few bits out. THis literally took two days to write! Also for anyone wondering yes, school sucks. These updates are going to be so out of the loop because I’m writing these way faster than I’m posting them because my exam period is coming up soon so I’m stocking up on writing so I don’t have to worry about it in the future. Year 11 truly sucks.

Toni groaned loudly and reached for her phone to check the time: 11:30. She rubbed her face and saw a message from Fangs.

Fangsypoo:

How are you feeling after last night? You were pretty drunk!

Ok, I hope you feel better soon! Don’t forget you have a shift later today. 😊

yeah ik and thnaks :)

Ugh, he was lovely but she could not be bothered to talk to him right now. She dragged herself out of bed and into the kitchen to see her Nana sitting at the table doing the cross word in the paper.

“Morning lovely, did you have a good night?”

“Yeah thanks Nana,” Toni grumbled as she pulled a box of tablets out of the cupboard and pierced the foil barrier.

“Have you got a shift today?” her grandmother asked as she got herself a glass of water.

“Yeah at three,” Toni paused as she swallowed the pill, “three till one.”

“One AM?”

“Yeah? Is that ok?”

“Yes yes that’s fine I’ll find a friend to take me back from Book Club.”

“Oh right sorry Nana..” Toni mumbled. She had forgotten about that.

“Oh no worries dear, no, no worries at all. Oh also I’ll be leaving tomorrow so I’d appreciate it if you could help me pack. Yes I need to pack a bit.”

One day. One day until she was left alone, all alone in a place that wasn’t even hers. A place that belonged to an old version of her. Toni pulled herself out of her thoughts.

“Nana, your stuff is already mostly packed, remember? We’ll do the final stuff on the day.”

“Oh yes, yes of course how silly of me. Yes, I've already done it. It’s done.”

How could she forget? What did Toni not know?

~~~
Toni spent the rest of the day recovering from yesterday, lounging around, consuming unhealthy amounts of coffee, and eating about a million slices of cheesecake- the best hangover food she says. She was also stressing about her Nana. She wanted to know what was going on, they hadn’t actually discussed what medical issues she had and it was eating Toni away. Was she ok? Why didn’t she want to tell Toni what was going on? Why was she so hesitant? Toni was tempted to ask but didn’t want to push it, her Nana was always quite a private person anyways so she didn’t want to pressure her.
When her mind wasn’t fixed on Nana and the care home, it wandered to the party. Specifically it wandered to Cheryl. She had been so kind, nurturing, like she used to. And she looked so beautiful, yet unhappy. She looked fake, like she used to. And really uncomfortable. Toni couldn’t think why. And Miranda. Cheryl had a girlfriend, Miranda. She was so different from Toni and for some reason that made her mad. It made her mad that Cheryl had a girlfriend period, which wasn’t fair, Toni had dated a couple girls after Cheryl, but it just did.
