First Note

School bell rings.

"Okay, class. Go back to your seats," a male teacher instructed as he walked inside the classroom and settle his belongings on the teacher's desk.

It was time for fourth period. Dahyun was busy wiping down the writings on the chalkboard when he entered the room. So, she hurriedly tried to clean the entire board, practically bouncing on her feet as she tried to reach for the very top.

Her instructor glanced at her, the corners of his lips tugging upwards as he tried to fight off a quiet chuckle. Her taller friend and class vice president, however, took the spare eraser and freed Dahyun from her misery, easily wiping the rest of the writings on the top with a cheeky grin. She then walked back to her seat.

And while Dahyun was supposed to do the same, turning around and taking a step forward, she noticed a girl standing outside the closed door. But she didn't pay much attention to it anymore as she headed back to her seat.

Once everyone was setteld down, the professor cleared his throat.

"Today, we will be having a new student join us," he smiled. "Please come in," he glanced at the door and it shortly slid open, bringing everyone's attention to the open door.

A girl with long jet black hair stepped inside, sliding the door closed afterwards. She then walked towards the front, bag held in front of her.

"Hello. I'm Myoui Mina," Mina bowed deeply before standing back up straight with a timid smile plastered on her lips.

Everyone looked rather stunned at the new student, murmuring compliments as she proceeded to head towards the empty seat opposite Dahyun. While their instructor was busy opening his textbook for the lesson today, Dahyun twisted and turned her body to face Mina with a bright smile.

"Hi, I'm Dahyun."

But she received nothing more than a glance, a shy smile, and a tiny 'nice to meet you'.

By the end of the day, as Dahyun did her last duties as the class president today by meticulously checking if every crook and crany was clean and organized, she stumbled upon a tiny treat under her desk - a neatly wrapped choco pie and a note stuck to it.
