Envy

Joker, unlike any other villains, has no competitor to his desire to killing the Batman. If a man came close to killing the Batman, Joker would've been watching the entire fight just to make sure Batman stays alive long enough for him to give the final blow. There is nothing that intrigues Joker more than anything that involves the words bat and laugh. Jealousy, one thing Joker doesn't have but always does. Doesn't make sense? Joker doesn't want anyone to kill Batman. If someone does, they will feel his wrath because they have blocked his crown of being the killer of Batman. Never in his life would he want the big drugged out Bane body, nor does he need the intelligence of the Riddler. Sure they have something superior over the Joker but none of them could ever come close to stopping Joker, nor would they dare. Batman's riches is not even a single dime in Joker's mind. He adores nothing more but of his own doings. As said by a wise man "it was never about the money, it's about sending a message." Who in their right mind would burn cash just to tell a city that he means business. Being in Arkham, staring in four walls, Joker can't feel jealousy for he is jealousy. The alpha male, top dog, chief, he even has a special cell in Arkham. What's so special about Joker's personality, everyone wants it. As sick and gruesome that he could ever be, every single villain suddenly has the urge to be the Joker. It is a stab right through the heart of every villain that they aren't even a single percent to Joker's capability. It's almost as if Joker is made to cause mayhem to Batman and jealousy to villains. They could never get close to him.
