Part 2/3 of Sweet Twisted Fairytale

"I solemnly swear to my BFF to be safe, have fun & not let you leave wit some goofy or leave without you." A smile appeared on her face, triggering a smile on his face too.

"Okay my turn, I solemnly swear to my bestest friend for all of eternity to be safe, have fun & not to leave with anyone who isn't you & not to let you leave with some slut."

"Ight Leilani, don't do no stupid shit in here." She let out a small laugh which made Fez think she wasn't taking him seriously, which was partially true. Leilani went to parties to let loose & do all the stupid shit in the world but only like moderately stupid shit. She considered moderately stupid shit to be like making out with someone's boyfriend & blaming it on the liquor (knowing she just liked chaos), or dancing on top of countertops & also blaming it on the liquor (knowing she really did it to feel free but the attention that came with it was a plus), basically she just liked to fuck shit up & then use alcohol as her safety net so she wouldn't have to face any consequences. She wouldn't like overdose in the bathroom or start a fire or gunfight or anything. However, without another word, both parties left the car & made their way into the party.

Twerkulator by City Girls was blasting through the house, which was a good sign to Leilani. This party was gonna be amazing. She went inside & quickly spotted her group of friends. Maddy Perez, Cassie Howard & Lexi Howard. Also, Kat Hernandez & BB (whatever her last name is) was with them but Leilani wasn't very fond of the pair. She thought Kat was pitiful because she so openly hated herself & thought BB's constant use of aave was annoying, also it bothered Lei that BB dressed like she was stuck in 7th grade. Usually she referred to them as, "the others."

"Guess who's here!" Leilani announced her arrival, arms in the air as she strutted towards them for a dramatic entrance. Per usual, Lei was absolutely head turning & attention grabbing. She had bouncy curly hair that swung about 5 inches under her shoulders & bangs that she used to cover her forehead, which she thought was massive, but nobody disagreed with her. A summer kickoff called for skin showing & when it came to skin showing, she always delivered. Her outfit consisted of a short black skirt & a red draped front tie backless halter top. As for shoes, she had on strappy red satin heels, the same shade of red as her fendi baguette shoulder bag & her shein top.

The girls all erupted in various greetings & hugs. There was that feeling again. The one she'd constantly craved & searched for in every aspect of her life. Soft chaos. Bliss. Euphoria. Once the formalities were over, she suggested that it was time for shots. Lei's arrival always meant that the night was finally gonna get interesting.

"So ladies, are we feeling dark or clear alcohol tonight?"
"Bitch," Maddy began, "It's the start of summer. Mix that shit." Leilani decided that she was right. What better way was there to kick off their last summer of high school than getting absolutely blacked out?

"Madeleine, you were made for me." Leilani played bartender for a bit, pouring each girl's shots until she was 5 shots in & the sudden memory of Fezco telling her to 'chill on the weed' rang through her brain. She had some blunts to smoke.

"Alright baes, be safe, i'm gonna go smoke & then you can all find me on the dance floor!" Leilani pulled a blunt and her lighter leash out of her red bag & headed outside to where she knew she'd find Fezco. Whenever he came to a party, he was strictly there for work. If there was an empty couch (usually on the patio) that was where you'd find him. She pushed her way through standing groups of people to get outside. Once Leilani emerged from the crowd, he noticed her instantly. Just like always, Fez was sitting alone with a blunt in between his fingers. He always seemed to be in the calmest state of mind humanly possible. They shared a smile before she fully made her way to him.

"You keeping your promise?" He inquired, with a smile still on his face.

"Why do you always look so happy to see me, Fezco?" Leilani didn't usually drink much, so those 5 shots (2 shots of clear, 3 shots of dark) was definitely fucking with her psyche. Her avoidance of his question raised some suspicion, but he gave her the benefit of the doubt. For now.

"Because I'm always happy to see you," He glanced over at her, noticing she was having trouble lighting her blunt, "Here." Fezco took it from her hand, switching it out with the one in his. He also took Lei's lighter & let her smoke his perfectly rolled backwood while he lit hers. When he handed her blunt back & recollected his own, Leilani laid her head on his shoulder whilst they smoked in silence.

A few customers came over to do business with Fez & he never made Lei move her head. Instead, he'd have his customers come closer to him in order to ensure she stayed comfortable. Things like that never went unnoticed by her, even in her crossfaded state. One of those customers, however, was Nate Jacobs.

Nate had changed a lot since he was 14. He was angrier, which was especially noticeable in his relationship with Maddy. They'd gotten together around the middle of their freshman year. Maddy always came crying to Leilani whenever he'd abuse her. Sometimes it was emotional abuse, other times it would be physical abuse. When Nate came over to the couch, his eyes violated Lei. They trailed her face, down to her exposed cleavage, down to her golden legs & back up to her eyes. She made a disgusted look & closed her eyes to pretend he wasn't there. Fezco saw him check her out but he 'wasn't tripping.' Which was only because Leilani reassured him that Nate wouldn't do anything to her since Maddy & her were so close. Even if Nate tried to do something with her, she'd kill him anyway.

After fading ⅔ of her blunts, Lei found herself leaving Fezco behind to go dancing. Originally, she had been dancing alone, letting the music overcome her. She didn't want to leave Fezco behind, but he never wanted to dance with her. Ever. Eventually, she found herself dancing with a boy, but she refrained from looking at him. He'd just come up behind her & felt her vibe. In her altered state of mind, she wanted to imagine it was Fezco. Which also explains why she danced so erotically with the mystery boy. Whoever he was, he wasn't a bad dancer. In fact, the duo's absence of bad dancing quickly caught the real Fezco's eye.

Although Fez couldn't put a name to the face, he had an uncanny feeling that he knew the boy. Safest bet would be to assume he was/is a customer. It was unusual how Leilani never looked back to see who she was dancing with. The ginger began to think that maybe she did, just when he wasn't watching. In this moment, open layouts & wall length glass windows were a blessing from God. The patio couch provided a crystal-clear view of the house's open concept living room & kitchen, so it was easy to keep an eye on her.

Lei's eyes, however, spotted Lexi waving her arms to her from across the room, she mouthed, "Is that Alex Jones?" Alex Jones? Fez didn't see who Lei was nonverbally communicating with, but he did see the sudden shift in her dancing. Suddenly, the music wasn't resonating so well in her soul anymore. Leilani feared taking a glance behind herself. What if it was Alex?
