#12 Brett Talbot Imagine-I never actually hated you

You and Brett never got along. You both constantly argued. He was the reason you got kicked out of Devanford Prep. You hated each other.

So when he and the rest of the devenford prep lacross team -your old team- came to your new school Beacon Hills high it wasn't just Liam who was pissed. But you being a were-cyoted you sensed something off with Brett, his chemo signals were all over the place,from anxiety to sadness to anger,to...grief?

{AFTER THE GAME}

After the game you went to look for Liam. You knocked on the door to the boys locker rooms but no one answered, you didn't hear anyone so you just walked in. You  picked up a heart beat but couldn't exactly pick up a sent.

"Liam?" you said. "Dude stop being a twa-" you stopped when you saw Brett sitting on the floor. Against  the lockers he looked up and you saw tears. Brett Talbot crying?

You sat beside him on the floor "What's wrong?" you asked. He wiped his face "Nothing i'm fine." he said. You could tell he was lying "Lair. Tell me what's wrong" you said. You took his hands into yours. He looked at you "5 years ago today me and Lori lost our parents in a fire," he said sadly.

"I'm so sorry Brett." you said. He looked at you like you were lying but he listened to your heart beat. It didn't skip or change. "Honestly." you said. He rested his head on your shoulder,you put your arm around him and your hand on his head.

A little while later Brett looked up at you "Why'd you help me? You hate me." Brett said. "Well honestly, I never actually hated you."  you said. "Really,you always act like it and you say it about a million times a day." he said.

"Because you hate me." you said. He shakes his head "Not totally." he said.

He sat up and wiped his face again "Thanks Y/N i really needed that." Brett said. You both stood up "Anytime." you said. Your rang and Mason's name popped up. "See ya Talbot." you said before you answered the call and walked out of the locker room.

Brett grabbed his bag and walked out after getting two things that he's been carrying around off his chest.
