"Thank you guys. Drive safe everybody." I waved my hands at the crowd and turned to exit the stage. I was exhausted, but very happy over my band's first show. Walking to the side of the stage I tripped over my feet and landed hard on my shoulder. An intense pain shot of my arm and throughout my neck. I rolled over trying to get off of it only to feel myself falling. The last thing I could remember was people crowding around and watching my blood spill around me.

I fluttered my eyes open only to immediately close them due to the bright lights. Where was I? I tried opening my eyes again and this time kept them open. I was hooked up to an IV machine and what seemed to be a heart rate monitor. I reached my hand towards my head and noticed a bandage wrapped around it. I sat up and went to take the IV out of my arm when I felt someone staring at me at the end of my bed. I jumped in the air in shock. There was a boy standing right in front of me.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked fear evident in my voice. The boy smiled brightly and walked closer to me. I scrambled backwards.
"Wow love you really smacked your head good eh?" His thick British accent was so attractive, I found myself staring at him. "Do you know who I am?" I stared intently at his face racking my brain for any sign of knowing him. There is no way I could forget who he was. A lot of fuzzy images came into mind and some very clear of him. One was a very specific memory of us kissing in what seemed to be a dorm room.
"Oli?" I asked questioningly. He nodded his head eagerly. He seemed to be on the verge of tears.
"Yes baby I'm your boyfriend. Oli Sykes. I want you to know I missed you so much. Do...do you mind if I kiss you?" Oli asked his voice shaky and small. I thought about his question for a while. He was my boyfriend after all. I nodded my head slowly and Oli placed his hand on top of mine. He leaned in close to me and pressed his lips against mine. I closed my eyes and savored this sweet moment. It was over quickly as I pulled away due to a sharp pain in my chest.
"Fucking hell that hurts." I said clutching the spot where the pain seemed to be.
"I didn't mean to hurt you love." Oli pulled away quickly. The pain slowly subsided in my chest and I relaxed.
"I'm sure it wasn't you. Maybe I should tell a doctor I'm up. It seems as if I have been out for a while." I started to get up, but Oli waved his hands.
"Don't worry I'll get the doctor for you. I have to go anyway so I'll tell them on my way out." Oli blew me a kiss and walked out of the door. For some reason I missed him already. A doctor walked n moments later.
"I see you are finally up Mr. Quinn. If you could just let me take your vitals really quickly; I have called your mother and she is on her way to come and pick you up." I nodded my head trying to comprehend all this information. I read the guy's name tag. Doctor Matthews. That name also sounded familiar to me too. I was about to ask him if I knew him outside of the hospital when there was a knock on the door. I turned to face the woman who was walking into the room. She was kind of short with long dirty blonde hair. She seemed to be in her late forties.
"How long have I been out doctor?" I asked looking around. The doctor looked at a calendar that was hanging by the door.
"According to your charts you woke up two days ago, but you have been out for about two weeks. I'm going to go finish up your paperwork. Why don't you talk to your mom why'll I'm gone." Dr. Matthews stepped out of the room leaving me and my mom alone together.
"Hi Kellin." She said her voice soft and oddly unsettling. I just stared at her not really having anything to say. It almost felt like I wanted to yell at her. The doctor walked back into the room and over to her and began talking to the both of us.
