After spending a few days stuck inside my office; Hanji's anger had shaken me a bit and I was still supposed to be on bed rest, leaving me alone with my thoughts. Miche had been by the day after to see what went down between us, spending an hour just sitting with me as I cried about my inability to understand their anger. I have gone over that day every waking moment trying to figure out what had made them so angry.
I had yet again resided myself to cozying up on the couch in my office, blankets covering my body as I had a small stack of books on the coffee table nearby to keep me occupied. Emmie had dropped some breakfast off earlier with the promise of having the gang visit - they had heard from Miche about Hanji's aggression and wanted to check up on me.
In all honesty I was becoming jittery waiting for them. I really missed them a lot as they still had their duties to fulfill so visiting me was a bit hard, which I hadn't minded since I had Hanji to talk to. I tried to continue reading my book but my brain kept going off about everything which caused me to re-read the same sentence like seven times.
Ugh now I really wish I was swamped with work so that I could stop thinking about the fight.
Knock knock
"come in"
I could feel my face light up at the sight of my squad pilling into my office, all of them smiling at me in return. Nat and Emmie quickly made their way over to give me a warm hug, I tucked my face into their shoulders as they both wrapped their arms around me tightly. As they slowly let go I turned to see Jasper sorting out the kettle to make everyone some tea, Zeke had already taken a seat on one of the chairs on the other side of the coffee table; across from the couch. Nat and Emmie sat on either side of me, both of them holding each of my hands as they filled me in on the torturous training that they had with Levi.
After Jasper had passed out everyone's tea and taken a seat in the chair next to Zeke's, Nat asked the question they were all dying to know.
"What happened Blade?"
sighing I shrugged my shoulders as I glanced around the room before I began
"I honestly don't know. I woke up to everyone gone, so I headed to the Mess Hall to see where everyone was. I met this cadet from the training corps who told me about the wall as I showed him to the Armory. Miche was the first person I saw after spending hours waiting in the Mess Hall, and so he filled me in on the operation and we just joked around."
"Wait so Hanji didn't leave a note or something?" Zeke asked as I took a moment to think about what happened next.
"No. I mean, I can't imagine how stressful it was for you all, and they lead quite a large section of the scouts so I wasn't really that upset about not knowing."
