Unpleasant Night At Home

Moving into the new house was rather stressful, especially the organizing part. I at least set up my bedroom so I could sleep for the night before organizing the next day. My back ached from all the lifting. It also didn't help after having to repair some of the house earlier today. The house needed more done to it but that was all going to happen within time. I sighed as I fell onto my bed, exhausted from everything today. I closed my eyes feeling myself want to go to sleep. It didn't take long for me to pass out and fall into the abyss.

Everything was foggy and the house creaked. I was standing in what looked like the living room to the house, only it was furnished and looked, new. I didn't understand what was going on but something felt, wrong. I heard people talking in the kitchen so I walked that way. There was a man and a women standing there, beginning to yell at each other. I was confused, even more confused to the fact I could not understand what they were saying. It was muffled, yet they were being loud. The man ended up walking out of the kitchen as the women stood there crying. A different man entered the room walking over to the lady, looking as though he was comforting her. He looked to be a little older than me, possibly the women's son? I was confused on why I was seeing this, and what was even happening. The other man came back and pointed a gun at the women. The younger man yelled something then stepping in front of the women as the other man pulled the trigger.

I quickly awoke, my heart racing and sweat dripping from my brow. I panted trying to catch my breath as I didn't understand what was going on. I noticed something on my nightstand and grew curious. Picking it up it was a picture of the same people I saw in the dream. I flipped it over seeing in writing "Ingred, Wilson, and Victor Onvward. December 20th, 1973." This picture was taken over twenty years ago. I set it back down, even more confused than before. I checked the time and decided to start organizing to distract myself from what just happened.
I stayed up most of the night organizing, not really wanting to sleep after what happened earlier. I was nearly done organizing the living room but I needed a break. I went to the kitchen to grab something to drink until I remembered my dream. As I closed the fridge door I looked around the area where the dream took place. Remembering the gun I looked to where the bullet would have went. Surely they would have fixed all of this if this really did happen and someone was shot, but I had a strange feeling. I knelt down and looked around the wall. It then caught my eye, the bullet hole. They did a poor job of plastering over it, but I guess they didn't think anyone would really be looking for it. I still didn't understand why I would have a dream about this. I never even knew there was a murder in the house, it was never stated in the house info. It didn't make sense.

For a week this nightmare continued, making me feel like I was losing my mind. I didn't understand why I kept having this dream or what it meant. I would sit and stare at the picture for hours wondering where it came from and what it all meant. I looked into the murder and it was unbelievable. A husband and father murdered his wife before dimembering the body and setting it on fire in the backyard. He then killed himself leaving a note near his body stating he hated everything he did and that this was the only way things would be right. The son went missing  that night and had been missing for three years until the investigation turned into a cold case. The story was crazy and only made me feel uncomfortable in the house.
I layed in bed looking at the photo. The family looked so happy, especially the dad. I didn't understand. Everything was so confusing that it hurt my head. I sighed as I sat up and then made my way to the bathroom. I began to strip down then turned the hot water on. I stepped into the shower feeling a nice warm shower would help ease my mind. The water was very relaxing, making me feel like I was melting away. Soon my mind finally felt clear and rid of all the thoughts that filled it. I started washing up, getting carried away after and standing there as the water ran down my body. Something felt off yet I couldn't tell what. I turned the water off and stepped out of the shower. Drying up I walked back to my bedroom and put on a pair of underwear. Looking at the time it was already midnight. 'Fuck,' I thought as I knew I had work in the morning. I finished what I was doing and turned the lights out going to bed.

The room was filled with fog, just as before. I noticed I was in a different room than all the other times before, my room not the living room. I looked around confused wondering what was going on.
"Evden." I heard a voice echo. I looked around as my heart began to quicken pace.
"Hello? Who's there?" I asked, feeling a bit terrified.
"Evden, why so scared?" The voice spoke then chuckled. I turned looking behind me before looking back infront of me. I was then face to face with the voice I heard. It was a man, the same man from the picture, Victor. He looked different though, with his hair being bright red and his eyes bright orange and cat like. He also had black horns on top of his head. He looked, devilish.
"Wh-what are you?!" I asked feeling terrified taking a step back. He smirked before answering me and taking a step forward.
"Oh how I have missed having company."  He said as he reached out to grab me.
"Hey hey hey back off!" I took another step back before falling back onto the bed.
"Aw what's the matter Evden? You look like you just seen a ghost." He began to chuckle as he stepped closer to me, then crawling on top of me. I quickly went to push him off me, my hand going straight through his body. Feeling my heart drop I pulled my hands away, Victor hovering over me with an evilish smirk.

"Victor!" I said shooting awake. I was drenched in sweat as I panted for air being confused on what just happened. Pulling the blanket away I ran to the bathroom and splashed cold water on my face. I tried gathering myself and comprehend what I just went through.

It felt impossible to focus on what I was doing at work. All I could think about was the dream I had with Victor, or what I thought was a dream I don't know. It didn't make any sence, and confused the hell out of me, this whole situation. I couldn't get Victor out of my head. He looked, so different, like something from hell. The image would not leave my mind. I couldn't bring myself to go home so I stayed at my friends house for the night. I was uninformed he was having a party and ended up getting carried away. Everyone started going down one by one and I lost my interest in staying over with all these people. There was only one option, walk home. The walk home was definitely a challenge, but the winter air felt nice. Unlocking my door I made my way inside the house and put my keys up. I took my jacket off and took off my boots ready to crash for the night.
"Trying to avoid me ay Evden?" I heard a voice say by the couch. I looked over and noticed Victor sitting in my recliner. My heart dropped and I felt frozen in place. I was lost for words as his eyes made contact with mine.
"I see you had no choice but to come back." He stood from the recliner and began walking over towards me.
"Whoa hey s-stay back!" I said with a stirn tone, backing up into the wall. Victor giggled continuing to make his way towards me.
"You think you can tell me what to do? Don't make me laugh Evden." He faded into thin air disappearing before reappearing right in front of me. I went to move back but realized I couldn't. He placed his right hand beside my head before leaning in and whispering in my ear. "You entered my domain, you belong to me now." He whispered as I then felt his tongue against my ear. I flinched, not because he licked my ear but because, it felt warm. I then felt his hand slide up my shirt, his hand feeling warm as well. The situation freaked me out and I quickly moved away from him. I ran to the bedroom closing the door and locking it, praying it would keep him out. There was a bang on the door followed by another and another.
"You can run but you can't hide Evden." He chuckled.
"What do you want from me!? How do you even know my name?!" I yelled as the fright was taking over. He walked through the door, that evil smirk still on his face. This only terrified me more.
"I know everything about you Evden. And as for what I want, well, I'd like to have some fun." He chuckled once more before hovering over to me. I threw whatever I could get my hands on at him only for it to go right through him. He grabbed my arms and pinned them against the wall. I closed my eyes hoping this wasn't happening.
"This isn't happening. This isn't happening. It's just a dream."
"Is that what you keep telling yourself?" Victor chuckled again. Everything began to go black and my hearing faded out.

I came to, having no idea what just happened nor what time it even was. I sat up seeing I was in my bed and still dressed. 'It, was just a dream,' I thought to myself, letting out a sigh of relief. I changed into something different and went to make coffee as my legs felt sore. I brushed it off, assuming it was from walking all the way home. I was so confused on what was happening to me since moving into this house. Was I losing my mind? I couldn't make sence of it. I sipped at my cup of coffee pondering the thought.
