"Are you ready to go Mrs.Bresset?" I scowl at Rich while he tries to hide the amusement in his face.
"Rich you may be my favorite bodyguard and I may be almost 7 months pregnant but make no mistake, I will take you down."
He simple laughs at my remark and grabs my purse leading me towards the door.
I have a doctors appointment today but Jeremy can't attend due to some meeting he had to go to with someone from Europe or something I don't know. I have completely forgotten.
Dam baby brain.
Mariella is in the house watching Anya until I get back, I should only be gone for about an hour or so anyway.
I sometimes feel bad leaving Anya with Mari but she volunteers more than I ask. She loves Anya like she was her own child and I forever appreciate her for it.
Rich starts to drive while I tap away at my phone on tiktok when Jeremy calls me for the 3rd time this morning.
"Shouldn't you be in a meeting?" I ask rolling my eyes.
"We just got a break, I have a whole 5 minutes to myself and I want to spend it with you."
"You so corny," I giggle.
"Are you sure you're not mad at me? I promised you I would to be at every appointment, and every single thing you needed for this pregnancy. I feel so bad that I had to miss it."
"Jeremy missing one little appointment isn't going to be the end of the world, I am sure I have 100 more coming up. And can you send me Eloise's number? I want to thank her for the gifts. And make sure you thank your father for the bounce house, Anya is a little young for it but she appreciates it nonetheless, even though all she does inside of it is run around in circles."
"You don't need her number, I will thank her for you. And as for my father, I'll send him a email."
"Jeremy don't be like that," I roll my eyes.
"Okay I have to go, call me after you leave the appointment. Love you baby girl," he says cheerfully before he hangs up not giving me anytime to respond.
I sigh to myself while staring at the phone. I truly don't know what to do with this man.
Rich walks me all the way up to the doctors office and lets me know to call him when I am ready. Ever since me and Vincent got in that accident, he hasn't really liked hospitals much so I don't force him to stay. I love their little bromance they do everything together.
I am sitting in the doctors office. The nurse has already made me pee in a cup which at this point in my pregnancy I have become a pro at and she has already taken blood. My doctor is taking a little longer than usual today.
I start to scroll on tiktok so I resist the urge to steal gloves from a doctors office. I don't know why, I just have the urge in the back of my mind to do it, even though I have gloves at home.
