Cat and Dog

Another less than successful day.
The pair continued they're walk as the sun began to dip bellow the horizon the moon being a lot more visable at this time. It was calm and barren perfect for the two as they let themselves relax and allow muscle memory to take them too their meeting place.

The small 24 hour corner shop shone in the background as the figure sipped on his coffee. He had made sure to get 2 sandwiches this time as he technically needed to work instead of meeting up with the small companion.

The two trotted along not slowing down at the promise of a decent-ish meal. It was sure going to be better than the stuff they got from the bins or they could persuade the once bustling crowd to give them. The tallest licked his lips at the thought as the other lead him towards the normal alleyway.

Once again at the park on the whim that his stray friend would show up. Then again both of them did pick up this routine very quickly. Taking his place on the bench he continued with the normal routine and began to eat.

It took little persuading to get the taller to hang back in the alley. The reward they were to share enough motivation as it was, let alone the small amount of attention only the shortest would receive. Said being continued down the alley and slid under the fence happily walking towards the park the man they met with already in place.

It was rather cold even with his thicker long sleeve top on. A slight bit of guilt for the one he was meeting with crept up on him. Poor thing having to sleep outside in all weather.

'Nearly there. Honestly if the man had turned around he would of noticed me by now. Oh well.' The being jumped up onto the bench from the back tail raised with only the end curved and eyes relaxed with large pupils.

"Here I was almost worried you weren't coming." The man chuckled offering his hand to the feline in front of him.

With a purr the cat accepted the offer nuzzling into the raven haired male.

"Not coming? What else would I be doing? You happily give me plenty of food enough for cat as well.
No need to knock over more bins if your here." The reply was only a basic meow to the mans ears.

"You want something?" The man began as he opened the second sandwich box, "You hungry by any chance? Here."

'A whole half in one? So the other one can be for cat' the feline ate with the human. Quite smug at how much effort the man was willing to go for them and yet he still didn't know about the other who was waiting in the alley for his fair share.

The cat had finished just before the man looking at him with big eyes a long drawn out meow that directly translated to "wheres my second lot? You always give me more. I need to feed Cat"

The man chuckled lightly as he handed over the other sandwich.
"Your not normally this talkative or hungry"

"Normally you don't have as much to spare for us" the slightly dragged  meow and twitching of the feline tail not too clear on what was said but it was enough.

Picking up the sandwich the cat hopped off the bench turning around to the man who was watching as if to make sure the animal left safely. Hesitantly the cat jerked their head clear permission that the man could follow.

The cat continued trotting over to the alleyway the soft footsteps behind signaling that the man had let curiosity get the better of him. They rounded the corner a dog was clearly seen laying on the floor rather bored looking.
