Together Again

Chapter 1

Erin's POV
Today is my first day in intelligence. I meet my partner today also. When I get to the district I say good morning to Platt and head upstairs. I went into my dad's boss's office and he told me to go sit at my desk, and that my partner is going to be here soon. As I am working on my paperwork I hear someone come up the stairs. When I look over I could not believe who I saw. "Jay" I say as I run to him and pull him into a hug. "Erin, it's been a long time since I have seen you," he says. "Yeah it really has, anyway what are you doing here" I say "Really Hank didn't tell you, I am your new partner" he says. "No" I say, still hugging him. "Wait, how do you two know each other?" Atwater asked. I gave Jay a look that meant we probably should tell them. He gave me a nod back. "Well Jay and I have known each other for 8 years then we lost touch when he joined the army" I explained to everyone. "What is all the fuss about out here" Hank says as he comes out of his office. "How come you didn't tell me that Jay is going to be my partner or that he is even back in town?" I ask "I wanted to surprise you. I know how much Jay means to you. Erin but if there is too much personal business happening between y'all at work I am going to have to separate you. Got it." Hank says "Copy that" Jay and I both say in unison. After Jay met everyone I showed him around the district, when I was done showing him around I said "we better get back to the bull pin before my dad thinks we are doing something we shouldn't be doing." Although what I really wanted to do is tell Jay that I love him and kiss him. But I didn't know if he felt the same way. So instead we just went back upstairs to finish our paperwork.
Jay's POV
When we got back upstairs I couldn't help but think about how much I love Erin Lindsayand how much I wanted to go over to her desk and kiss her. I just don't know if she feels the same way. I am going to ask her to dinner tonight and tell her then.
E= Erin J= Jay
J - Can I talk to you alone
E - Sure
*In the locker room*
J - Do you want to come over to dinner tonight
E - Yeah absolutely
J - Great, 6:30 good
E - Yeah 6:30 I will be there
Jay's POV
I can't wait to tell her that I love her. I just hope she feels the same way.
