*Hank, Erin, and Jay's conversation*
H- Lindsay Halstead my office now
E+J- yes sir
Everyone- ooh you're in trouble
E- shut up
H- close the door and have a seat
J- what is it that you wanted to see us about
H- what is going on between the two of you
E- ok if we tell you will you promise that you won't be mad, punch Jay in the face, or transfer Jay out of intelligence.
H- depends on what you are hiding
J+E- we are dating
H- ok I am not going to hurt anyone or transfer anyone, I am just going to say I have never seen you Erin this happy, but Jay if you hurt her you will be out of this unit in a heartbeat. I am ok with your relationship.
J- first of all thank you and second of all I would never hurt Erin. I love her way too much to hurt her.
E- aww baby I love you too and thank you dad
H- stop it you two before I throw up. Now I am going to yell at y'all to please those noise cops out there.
*end of conversation*
Jay's POV
Hank yelled random codes at us and when we left his office we made it look like we just got in a lot of trouble with Hank. But in reality we are happier than ever. I texted Erin if we should tell the rest of the unit that we are dating. He replied with sure why not. Then Erin and I looked at each other and stood up in front of the unit.
J- can we get everyone's attention we have something to tell you.
(everyone turns and faces Erin and jay)
E- we are dating (takes Jay's hand in hers)
Al- I am happy for you kiddo but Jay if you hurt her...
J- I know I am out of this unit and 6 feet under.
H, Al,K- good he understands.
AD,AR,KA- congratulations (hugs the happy couple)
P(Platt)- sorry to interrupting whatever this, who am I kidding I love interrupting this but Erin you are needed downstairs
E- ok on my way down
Erin's POV
I gave Jay a look telling him that he is coming with me. Halfway down the stairs I hear Platt talking to someone and I immediately recognize the voice. It is Bunny. I squeeze Jay's hand and stop walking. He immediately realizes something is up and tries to calm me. "Jay it's Bunny" I say and as soon as I said her name Jay pulled me into a hug. "Jay can you go get my dad, Al, and Kim please but come right back I need you." I said "Yeah of course, I will be right back, don't move." he said and gave me a kiss before he went to go get dad, Al and Kim.
Jay's POV
When I came back with all three of them they all asked what was wrong. But Erin didn't say anything, she took my hand in hers and gave me a look that says tell them please. "Bunny is downstairs" I said. "Oh my god" they all said and hugged her. "Jay I can't do this" Erin says "look at me, you are the strongest person I know and you can get through anything plus you have a lot of people that love you and help you through anything" I say to reassure her that everything will be alright "Erin, Jay is right and plus me, Jay, Al, and Kim will be right beside you now and forever." Hank tells Erin "thank you guys, I think I am ready to go down but only if Jay holds my hand." Erin says "I was going to hold your hand either way" I say while giving her a reassuring hug and kiss.
Erin's POV
I am still not sure if I am ready to see her but I feel safer knowing that the best cops in Chicago for backup. I also have the second best detective as my boyfriend and if anyone tries to mess with me they will have to go through Jay, my dad, Al, Kim, and Trudy Platt. Once we get closer to the bottom of the stairs I squeeze Jay's hand harder and stop. "Hey look at me" Jay says, but I don't at first then I do when he puts his finger under my chin and turns my head so that I am facing him. Then I realize why am I hiding anything from him, he literally knows me better than anyone. "You can do this Erin Lindsay" Jay says "Jay I don't know if I can do this" I say "Erin you are the strongest person I know and you are the best detective in this unit." Jay says "Jays is right Erin and you know I do not agree with Jay very often" dad says "Ok yeah I can do this but first I will need a hug and kiss from Jay" I say "Come here baby" Jay says and I walk closer to him. He pulls me into a hug and then kisses me but I deepen the kiss when he tries to pull away. "Ok we get it you love each other now can you stop" Al says "fine we will stop but I love you Jay Halstead" I say "I love you too Erin Lindsay" Jay says back. Then I take his hand back in mine. Then we continue descending the stairs. When we reach the bottom of the stairs I squeeze Jay's hand tighter but keep going when Jay pulls me closer to him. "I can do this" I say to myself, but everyone else heard me and said "Yes you can" "Now that is the Erin Lindsay I know and love" Jay added. I smirked at Jay's comment and said "I love you too" Bunny must have heard me because she turned and looked in our direction then she walked over but I stepped back because I could not handle the smell of liquor and coffee this early in the morning.
