~Grace~
"Set the venu, send me pictures and I'll let you know if you should make any changes." I tell Ella.
"Okay, but if there's a cupcake missing from the tower I'm not responsible for it." Ella says and I chuckle, putting my shoes on.
"Don't think of it." I tell her.
"Got it. Is that all?"
"Yup." I tell her.
"Grace! We're leaving!" Catherine yells.
"I have to go, text me if anything goes wrong." I tell Ella and she mumbles a very distracted yes.
I hang up and grab my keys.
It's been two days. The doctors called last night and told us Ricco had woken up. I may or may not have not slept because I couldn't wait to go see him.
"Grace!"
"Coming!" I yell, walking into Ricco's room. He specifically asked for his clothes. Basic bitch.
I sit on his bed where one of his shirts lay. I take the black fabric up and take in his cologne. God, I've missed him so much.
"Grace!" Catherine walks in, but she frowns when she notices me smelling her son's damn shirt.
"Sorry-I came to get his clothes." I chuckle. She smiles, sitting next to me.
"I can't believe he did it you know." she laughs, but I raise an eyebrow.
"Convince your father to give him your hand in marriage." She says and I chuckle.
"I never thought he was serious." I laugh.
"I always knew he was." She takes the shirt from my hand.
"Grace, what did you tell him before that car crashed?" I look at her, my smile falling off my face.
"That he was acting like Angelo." I tell her, regretting all of it.
"Well,I hate to admit it but sometimes all the Russo men act like the same person." she chuckles. Her chuckle, smile, laugh, any sign of happiness is trapped with worry. Maya's secret is out and I'm not sure what's happening with that, last I heard, Maya hasn't stepped out her room and I've been really busy helping Leo with Ricco's duties in the past fourty-eight hours that I haven't gotten a chance to talk to her.
"She's gonna get through this." I tell Catherine and she frowns.
"It's like everything went from really good to really bad, first I was getting the daughter-in-law of my dreams and then I was lacking parenting." She mumbles. I hesitate to tell her that Maya is an adult and she can do what she wants, but I can't forget that we're no normal family.
"He's waiting, we should get going." She says, getting up.
"Oh and Grace, he's an asshole, but he's been through things he hasn't talked to you about." She says and my brain struggles, desperately to find some clarity in her words.
She walks out the room and I get off his bed.
---
"Why did you call me here?" I ask Leo as he walks into the cafe in the hospital.
"My men did some searching, they realized that the accident wasn't an accident." My eyes widen. Even though Maya brought it up, Angelo didn't let her finish.
