Chapter 1 (Effects)

*Master Makarov’s POV*

It’s been 3 years since one of my children, Lucy disappeared. And the guild is taking effect on it. Everyone is gloomy and there wasn’t a fight or a smile seen on anyone. But the one who took most of the effect was Team Natsu, Levy, Wendy, Mira, Cana, Guildarts, And the Thunder God Tribe.

We searched and searched for her all over fiore but there was one thing we can’t understand.

When we arrived at the guild after the tenroujima accident (the time when Lucy disappeared) we directly went to her apartment to see if she was there but all of her things were gone. Only a few letters and gifts were left. I opened the letter that was addressed to all of us saying that she has to go.

*Lucy’s letter*

Dear Fairy tail,

      I’m sorry but I had to leave. There is something I need to do first something I need to figure out. I don’t know how long it will take but I promise I will come back. I swore on mavis’ grave, didn’t I? I swore that even if I need to leave fairy tail I would always come back. And I hope you would hold on to that.

I saw a letter addressed to team Natsu, levy, Wendy, the thunder god tribe, and one specifically for Laxus.

“Do you want me to read your letters?” I asked

They just nodded tears streaming and staining their cheeks.

*start of letters*

((A/N: - means interruption and continuation))

Dear Team Natsu,

     I’m sorry that I left. I never wanted to but I had to do it. I’m really sorry that I couldn’t really fulfil my promise to you guys. But when I come back ill make it up to you. Happy I have fish in the fridge its all for you-

“Lushyy! I don’t want fish!! I just want you to come back! Tot”

-Erza I have strawberry cake there as well. Natsu and Gray, I have 2 Choker Necklaces in the drawer one for each of you. you would know which one is yours-

Natsu and Gray went to her drawer while Erza found the cake and began eating it while crying.

 

They found 2 necklaces one with a flame and a key attached to it and another with ice and a key attached to it. They took it and wore it while falling to their knees crying.

-I want you guys to know that I love you guys so much and that I'll come back.

The other letters were said and there were also gifts. Levy got Lucy’s finished novel, Wendy and Gajeel got the same necklace as Gray and Natsu. Mira got a note saying that Lucy was in love and she squealed but cried because she didn’t say who it was. Evergreen got new glasses. Freed a new rune pen. Bickslow clothes for his ‘Babies’.

I hid laxus’ letter and gift and ill give this to him later.

I finally gave it to him about 1 year later because he just got home from the mission when I gave it to him he left again for another year mission.

And ever since that day Lucy disappeared everyone was drinking their ass off, sulking in a corner or full out crying. Erza doesn’t want to eat her strawberry cake, Gray doesn’t want to strip, Cana doesn’t want to drink, and Laxus was busying himself with loads of missions just to get the blonde celestial mage out of his head.

The only good thing is that some of the mages have coupled up. Natsu asked Cana, Gray asked Juvia, Bickslow asked Lissana and that helped them to stay strong for the guild they crack smiles sometimes then go back to their sad faces.  And even Mira didn’t get so happy she just smiled and congratulated them and then her frown would appear again.

Lucy is a big part of the guild she is our rock, our light. She gives us hope and without her we are nothing. We may be the strongest guild in all of fiore but still without someone to give us happiness our strength is useless.

Lucy please come back. Nothing is the same with out you.
