Ring, ring, ring.

The bell rang as it notified students that it was the end of the school day. Students began pouring out of the door like soldiers aware of war and soon flooded the hallways.

Hundreds of tired students sighed in relief, and it soon became quiet. The wind could be heard as if speaking with the walls.

As my footsteps echoed towards the school's front door, the few sun rays that went through the thick clouds laid upon my face causing my eyes to squint at the change of brightness. The cold breeze brushed across my warm skin causing shivers through my body. It was the beginning of September, and the weather was getting colder by the day with the sun giving barely any warmth.

I finally made my way to the sidewalk leading to a more isolated and quiet part of town. While listening to the blasting music from my earphones for twenty minutes, I walked around the corner and went further into the wide landscape fully covered in grass and nature surrounding it completely.

Finally, the home I lived in for years since I was born stood in the middle of the entire area without other houses around it. It was a white house with grey on the roof and a small porch at the front. Once inside, I took my shoes off at the entrance and put my black backpack on the floor.

The light entering the house had now dimmed especially due to the tall, high trees that rested behind my home; a forest. It had been there for the longest time, yet I only ever got close to it when the sun was up. Something was luring about the path to the forest, but I wasn't going to be safe going alone, so I never did.

After a few hours, my bed dipped down as I laid on it ready to sleep. I had showered an hour ago and eaten a simple meal for the night. I stared up at the white ceiling for a few minutes then eventually my eyes couldn't stay open any longer and darkness took over me.

I stood in the middle of a field, greenery, and forest-like, it seemed familiar almost nostalgic. It was windy and cool air shifted the grass causing rustling sounds. A few feet away from me were three people: two adults and a child. Wanting a closer look, I took a step forward and another and another. When I was close enough, I paused then realized that it was the same constant dream. Those two adults were my parents. The small child was me.

My mother stood there watching my father chase me around as I screamed happily. A smile that I hadn't seen on me or my parents three years ago. A tragedy that took them away from me.

They turned their face in my direction and our eyes connected. They smiled and waved their hand motioning for me to come with them. Tears formed in my eyes as I reminisced the moments I couldn't remember. Memories of a childhood that I couldn't recall. Then everything went dark.

I gasped as I awoke from my dream, cold sweat dripping from my forehead as I shivered. Every memory was as vivid as if I relived those moments every time, and their faces remained ingrained in my mind.

All these dreams I had were a part of my life I didn't remember. It was me in them, but the things I did weren't familiar in my mind. I began having nightmares that recalled the news of the death of my parents and how they appeared in my dreams with me as a child. It was not new but yet it was hard to see that my parents had left, and I couldn't do anything.

I laid my head back on the soft pillow and tried to go back asleep. It was six in the morning, one hour before I usually woke up, so I decided to get up at this point.

The school wasn't far from home as it almost took thirty minutes to walk there, so I didn't need to wake up hours before class time. I typically arrived five or ten minutes before the first bell rang and wasn't in a rush.
