saturday, or in student's words, rest day. iruma is currently sitting on his bed, wondering why he wasn't able to fall asleep so easily like before. of course, this is news to everyone close to iruma since they know how the boy could fall asleep in an instant
his bedroom door opened and came in sullivan and opera "good morning, iruma-kun! let's go and have breakfast! it is a lovely day outside, let's go and take a walk!" sullivan cheered like he always do. iruma, not having enough energy only smiled back
"master iruma, did you have trouble falling asleep again?" opera asked the boy who nodded tiredly. sullivan switched into his egg form and jumped on iruma's bed with tears splashing out of his eyes
"my iruma! what happened?" he cried out. iruma caressed his grandpa's head in a comforting manner until opera pulled the egg away. sullivan thrashed in opera's hold while the redhead paid no mind and talked to iruma
"master iruma, have you been thinking of something before falling asleep?" the bluenette thought about it. yes, he had been thinking before going to sleep but it was rather someone than something. should he tell opera about it, or should he not?
"yes, but i'm not thinking about something" he confessed, lying isn't his best forte anyway. opera's right brow arched upward
'if it isn't something, then perhaps is it someone?'
opera thought and sat on iruma's bed, beside the latter. sullivan is now standing, in his demon form and attentively listening. iruma looked at opera, confused at the redhead's movements. opera held iruma's hands
"master iruma, have you been thinking of a girl?" perhaps iruma forgot how opera has a keen observation "h-how did you know?!" iruma exclaimed, shaking in either fear or shock. opera sighed and tightened his hold on iruma's hands
"master iruma, are you in love?" the aforementioned stopped his movements and thought about it. in love?
"what does it mean to be in love?" opera sighed at the boy's obliviousness "please allow me to explain you what being in love is, master iruma" and so, the love session had started
"being in love means desiring the happiness of your partner, admiring them for the individual they are, and feeling motivated to be a better person. you want them to be always happy, you don't want them to cry and you always want them to smile. not seeing their smile feels like your day is incomplete"
opera let iruma take in the words he just heard "well, that's just a rough explanation of being in love but i hope you get the point" iruma looked down on his lap "am i actually in love?" he whispered out. he looked back up to opera
"how do i know if i'm in love?" opera nodded, understanding what iruma had meant
"when you do something you hate with them, it suddenly becomes enjoyable"
'i always love studying with adeliza'
"you want to go somewhere with them"
'i want to go to the walter park with adeliza'
"you make future plans such as watching the rain"
'we planned on swimming at the beach in summer, it's only february'
"you want to share the bad and good things to them"

"you are constantly reminded of them"
'i remember looking at a flower and though how adeliza might like it'
"those are basic signs that you should be aware of to know if you're falling in love" iruma's laugh were shaky making opera's eyebrows arch upward in a confused and curious manner. iruma looked at opera, readying himself to confess
"i am in love, opera-san"

sullivan started crying in his egg form as his tears flooded the floor "iruma~" he whined inconsolably as he clung on iruma's clothes "does this mean you're gonna leave me?!" opera sighed and struggled to pull sullivan away from the poor boy
"he will not leave you, lord sullivan. stop crying" opera mildly scolded "but opera!" sullivan whined again "he's already in love, he's growing up!" opera sighed once again "indeed lord sullivan, but that is only normal"
