With the sun starting to set, came a sky of fire. Stepping out to the loud street, the kids rushed inside, and the adults came out, holding their lovers and friends with plans to run wild for the weekend. It was the battle cry of the gathering night; the idea of booze and loud music was the only way that a weekend on a fall night was successful. At least, for them.

"Mom, I'm leaving!" I called out, walking to the door. An arm grabbed me and pulled me into a tight hug. The smell of warm cinnamon cocoa and faded perfume surrounded me, that's mom's smell. I love that smell.

"Okay, just make sure you get home safe." My mom smiled at me, the warmth and love in her eyes covered me like a blanket. Her striking amber eyes and umber hair was messily done in a high bun, complimenting her creamy skin.

"And if you get too drunk, just call me. You won't get in trouble." Dad came, smiling at me. He looked at me in the classic dad stern look, but you can see the love. Like any dad would have for their child. He had similar cream skin as mom and his hair was pushed back, and shockingly dyed a dark blue. I gave him a look, staring at his hair.

"Isn't this the color you kids are dyeing your hair these days?" He smirked.

"No, Dad," I laughed. "I think the color's silver now."

"I'll do that one, then."

"Please don't."

"I need to keep up with my daughter, I wasn't born with naturally dark red hair." I flipped my hair back, proud of my oxblood red ombre hair.

"I really have to go, my friends are waiting," I whined, giving them both a kiss on the cheek and opening the door.

I stared at the man at the other side of the door. He was gorgeous, like... insanely gorgeous. His dark navy hair reached the top of his ear, a few strands playfully dangling a bit lower. He had a bandana that pushed the rest of his hair away from his face revealing his forehead. His skin was a calm light peach color with yellow undertones. He stood at, from what I could tell, 5'11... seemed to be my age. Everything was topped off by his blue eyes, like a bow on a present. Is he a gift for me? He's just way too perfect. His blue eyes scanned me then looked behind me.

"Margaret, George... it's nice to see you again." He greeted; his voice sent me for a trip. I felt goosebumps cover my entire body instantly. I quickly turned to my parents, confused as to why this inhumanely handsome guy knew them.

"Zhane... what're you doing here?" My dad's voice changed, he looked calm, but his body stiffened, like when someone was going to give you bad news at a hospital. Then mom.... Her face was grim, she was terrified. I turned back to the guy, glaring at him this time. My forest-green eyes pierced into his soul. Who was this guy that made my parents react this way?

"Kim, you have fun, okay?" Mom said quickly then smiled at me. I glanced at dad who kept looking at this Zhane guy.

"Let us know when you're heading back." Dad reached for me, not taking his eyes off me. When I was close to him, he looked at me gently, kissed me on my forehead then continued to glare at this guy. I bit my bottom lip and brushed past this stranger, watching them. The guy walked in and as the door closed and my friends called my name, a horrible feeling came over me... I didn't know what until I came back and...

They were gone. The only thing that was in the house was a letter addressed to me and paperwork that signed everything in my name... including all of their money. I waited two days and they still didn't come home... I filed for missing persons and nothing was found, the case went cold after six months. And after a year, it was dismissed since their bodies were never found.
