The Beta and Werehuman?

Chapter 1- The Meeting

    There I stood, frozen and alone with my legs feeling like jelly. My heartbeat skipped a beat as it closed in on me, getting closer and closer. The four legged beast towering over me, it's gorgeous baby blue eyes on me as if it were looking through my soul. Even though the wolf was close to me, I wasn't exactly scared but I also wasn't feeling very calm either. It felt as if I could go into shock at any moment though. When I found my voice, I spoke, my voice wavering.

    "Who or what are you? What do you want from me?" As it got closer, I finally realized it was a male wolf. The wolf whimpered and lowered his head, nuzzling my legs and it took everything in me not to flinch away from him. I mean, it's not like he's hurting me or anything so why should I freak it out by accident even though he's freaking me out?

    I slowly lifted my hand after I gathered all the courage I had in me and I brought it down on his head gingerly and began to pet him. I swear to everything, I heard him purr and I felt him relax into me more causing a huge smile to form on my not so scared face anymore. "You aren't so bad are you, McFluffster?"

    When I looked down at his face, I noticed he had an amused expression. Weird. Can an animal even have the ability to have expressions like that? I mused in my head some more when I cupped his snout and bent my head down to kiss his head. The moment my lips came into contact with his head, I felt this weird shock and I pulled away completely. There was something inside me stirring around causing me to gasp when I realized what was going on between me and McFluffster in front of me. His eyes were on me and full of wonder and concern. Concern for who and for what?

    I lowered myself into a sitting position as I looked at Fluffster and it was like I was seeing the wolf for the first time. His fur was so black and glossy that it looked like the setting sun was causing a rainbow like glow in the fur. Then his eyes, so clear, a light shade of blue that I could easily get lost in for who knows how long. Just like now, almost felt like I was swimming in them. In that instant I knew what he was, he wasn't just a wolf but something so much more. I'm not fully sure what though. Then before I'm fully aware, words are leaving my mouth.

    "Shift." As soon as the words left my lips, he scooted back and began shifting back into his human form. My mouth gaped open as I took in this handsome man. Words would not form to even describe his appearance... His skin looking smooth and somewhat tan and his hair being the same as his wolf form with the rainbow like reflection in it. My eyes dropped a bit lower and I saw every defined muscle, his abs made me want to put chocolate on them and lick it off...Whoa why did I say that? I didn't say it out loud did I? I looked up to his eyes and sure enough, I knew I was blushing hardcore at where my thoughts had taken me so quickly.

    I mentally frowned at myself but smiled shyly at him. He took a small step towards me and I stood up to take a step towards him. Now that I know, why should I be afraid at all anymore? I'm very nervous so don't get me wrong at all. I mean I've only read about stuff like this but obviously I never lived it or anything, I haven't heard of this happening either. As he got closer, that something inside of me felt like it was stirring around again, like someone or something trying to claw closer to be next to this beautiful being. He grabbed my hand and I nearly melted at his feet from this foreign feeling to me and I felt so alive, my body wanting, no needing to be closer to him.

    Mate!

    My head snapped around and I looked all over but no one else was around but the two of us. Odd...who could have said that then? I refocused on my mate when he caressed my cheek and ran his thumb over my bottom lip sending this pulsing trail behind where his fingers had been. My lips parted and I looked up at him through my long dark lashes when he spoke for the first time.
