Dinosaur Wrangling

A Ford Pickup truck drove down the snowey forested road, driven by a middle aged farmer alongside Owen, both in thick winter clothing.

Farmer:"The dinosaur should be around here. This damn thing's been eating my crop. One day, my field was full. The next day, it's all empty!"

Owen:"I get your point Hugh, that's what I'm here for."

The road then led next to a narrow river. Hugh stops the car.

Hugh: "Oh god."

Ahead of them, drinking from the river, was a Parasaurolophus.

Owen smiled as he got out of the car. He goes to the back of the truck and picks up , along with a carrot from a sack of vegtables.

Hugh looks at Owen, concerned.

Hugh: "Are you insane!?!"

Owen looks at Hugh reassuringly.

Owen: "Calm down, I've captured live horses when I was a teen and done several rodeos. This is no different."

Owen puts the carrot in his pocket and ties a loop at one end of the rope and ties the other end of the rope to the bumper of the truck. He then begins approaching the Parasaur. Once the Parasaur notices Owen, he gently throws the rope. The loop lands around its neck.

The Parasaur fidgets, and takes a few steps back before Owen takes out the carrot. The Parasaur stops.

Owen:"Good girl."

The Parasaur slowly moves its head towards Owen and wraps its mouth around the Carrot, eating it. Owen then pets its head.

Owen: "Hugh, drive slowly."

The truck sputters to life and slowly begins to drive. Dragging the Parasaur. Owen jumped on the back of the truck as it drove to the large and open farm grounds.

When they got to the farm, a several large US Fish and Wildlife service vans surrounded the premises. An officer slowly approaches the Parasaur, armed with a large Tranquilizer rifle. He aims at the Parasaur and shoots it.

The Parasaurs roars and jerks its head, causing the rope to snap off the bumper. It then charges onto the farm grounds for a bit before collapsing.

Owen solemly looks at the Parasaur. Hugh gets out of the truck and laughs.

Hugh: "That's what you get!"

Owen climbs down from the back of the truck as Hugh reaches for his wallet. 

Hugh: "Thanks so much sir, here's your payment."

Hugh hands Owen 50$.

Owen nods at Hugh before leaving him.

Several other officers begin surrounding the Parasaur with ropes, one called for an airlift. Among the running officers, Owen saw a man in black approaching him.
