Familiar Faces

Owen drives down the road alongside Claire and Maisie. Owen looks at Claire, who looks back at him.

Owen: "So who exactly are we meeting?"

Claire: "Someone who I belive can help us."

Owen nods and turns on the radio.

Radio broadcaster: "It's now offical to say that after several decades, incidents, and lawsuits. The Ingen company has offically gone bankrupt. The company infamously known for creating the original park which lead to the Isla Nublar incident of 1993, as well as the second Isla Nublar incident in 2015. President of rival genetics company Biosyn, Lewis Dodgson, shared his condolences for the company. Meanwhile the Isla Nublar Tyrannosaurus Rex still remains out in the wild, last seen attacking a drive in theatre. The US Fish and Wildlife services are still doing their best to capture the beast. Another similar incident happened on tuesday at Big Rock National park where--"

Owen turns off the radio.

Owen: "Can't get a break around here can we?"

He turns to Maisie.

Owen: "You okay?"

Maise looks at Owen, and silently nods.

Owen smiles.

Owen: "Glad to hear."

Claire: "We're almost there."

Owen turns the car left at a fork down the road. They continued driving until they stopped in front of a modest bungalow home surrounded by forest. The mailbox at the front reading: Grant.

Owen, Claire, and Maise step out of the car and approached the front door, knocking it.

Seconds later a middle-aged blonde woman opens it.

Blonde woman: "Hello, can I help you?"

They then hear a man yelling behind her.

Man: "Who the hell is bothering us."

She turns around.

Blonde woman: "It's okay Alan, honey, it's just some guests."

She turns to the group.

Claire: "You're Dr. Ellie Sattler right?"

Ellie smiles.

Ellie: "Well, it's actually Ellie Grant."

Claire pauses.

Claire: "Does that mean you and Alan?..."

Ellie: "Yes dear, come in!"

The group enters the home. Alan sits on a couch in the living room, now old with grey hair. He watches TV with a beer bottle in his hands.

He turns to the group and notices Maisie.

Alan: "Oh god, I'm sorry."

He puts away the beer bottle and smiles. Ellie  sits along side Alan and gestures to another couch adjacent to theirs.

Ellie: "Please, sit down."

Owen, Claire, and Maise all sit on the chair.

Alan: "I'm Alan Grant, retired paleontologist and survivor of Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, this is my wife Ellie. Belive it or not I'm her second husband, after that Degler man or whatever."

Ellie looks at Alan.

Ellie: "Oh give him a break, Alan. He saved you when you were at Site B."

Alan smiles at Ellie.

Alan: "You got a point there."

Claire: "I know who both of you guys are. I'm Claire Dearing, former park operations manager at Jurassic World and current founder of the Dinosaur Protection Group."

She points at Owen.

Claire:"This is Owen Grady, former Navy soldier and Raptor trainer at Jurassic World."

Alan: "You train Raptors?"

Owen: "Damn right old man."

Claire points at Maisie.

Claire: "And this is Maisie Lockwood."

Ellie: "So you're adopting her?"

Owen and Claire look at eachother.

Claire: "Yes we are."

Ellie nods.

Alan: "So what brings you guys to our house?"

Claire: "After the Lockwood manor incident the Dinosaur Protection Group has gained much attention and funding. Our former goal was to save the Nublar dinosaurs from the Mount Sibo eruption, our current goal is to track all the dinosaurs out in the wild and make sure they're safe. We're having a major rally in Washington D.C soon and we belive it would be great if you two would came along."

Alan looks at Ellie and sighs.

Alan:"No, I'm not. I'm not standing for values that I don't belive in. I agree with Ian when he said that we should've let the dinosaurs on Nublar to die, and now they're out in the world causing havoc. Look, I love dinosaurs and still do, but I care about humanity way more. I've said this before and I'll say it again, dinosaurs and man are two species seperated by 65 million years of evolution  have suddenly been thrown back into the mix. This time their in our world, not an artifical theme park isolated on an island."

Claire looks at Ellie, who looks at her apologetically.

Ellie: "I'm sorry, but I'm with Alan on this one."

Claire, Owen, and Maise stand up.

Claire: "Well thanks anyway for your cooperation."

Ellie smiles.

Ellie:"No problem!"

They then leave the house.
