"Are you sure you want a roommate? I thought you didn't like the idea." Shoyo said, setting his plate in the sink. The two of you were having dinner at your place.
"I don't like the idea, Sho. But my landlord is raising rent and I still have ten months before my lease is up." You said from the table.
Hinata Shoyo. One of your best friends since high school. Since he was still home most of the time, you two remained close.
Shoyo began washing the dishes. "You can't just break the lease? Make something up. Like an infestation or something, I don't know." Shoyo began washing the dishes. You stood up and walked over to him. He grabbed the plate from you, knowing you would've just stood there waiting for him to finish.
"He'll come here and investigate or whatever. I don't feel like having to cover up the lie either." You leaned against the counter next to him.
"I can always help you pay rent. I don't mind at all." He offered. It wasn't the first time he's offered to help, you just didn't want to burden him.
"Don't worry about it. As I said, I'll find a roommate and I'll be fine." You gave him an assuring smile.
"Fine. But I wanna meet whoever your new roommate is." He said drying his hands on a towel.
You agreed and walked him to the door. "Don't forget about my game on Saturday. I wanna introduce you to my friends after." Shoyo said as soon as he stepped out into the hall. "I'll be there, Sho."
His face brightened and he waved goodbye before he excitedly took off running.
He hasn't changed since high school.

It's so loud.
You took your seat in the stands. There were a lot of people. Too many for your liking, but you were there for Shoyo. He'd always supported you in everything you did, so it was only fair you did the same.
Everyone cheered as MSBY walked into the stadium. You saw Shoyo with a bright smile walking next to two taller men. One with black and gray hair and another with blonde hair. From the looks of it, the one with gray and black hair matched Shoyo's energy perfectly.
There were of course others that followed behind them. There was one that stood out the most. He wore a mask over his face and dark curly bangs fanned over his left eye.
He took off his mask, and his expression said it all. You've never seen anyone more uncomfortable. He pulled out a small bottle and squeezed something into his hands. You could only assume it was hand sanitizer. He put his mask and sanitizer into his team jacket and unzipped it. Pulling it off and handing it to their coach, he reluctantly went to warm up with everyone else.
Something about the way he acted sparked your interest.
Soon you returned your gaze back to your best friend who'd been calling your name for who knows how long. He and the two men with him waved in your direction. You waved back.
