What has happened Joe?

Caspar's POV:
Its the next morning and we're still searching for Joe. I should go and see if he is at Natalie's. Alfie and Zo are looking at Oli's, Chai's and Will's.

I arrived at Natalie's and knocked on the door. Natalie answered after two minutes with bloodshot, swollen eyes and tears streaming down her face. "what's up Nat?" I said comforting her. She told me what had happened, I felt the urge to scream at her. But I knew that wouldn't help any of us. Instead I asked her where Joe was. She told me Joe only left hers at midnight. He can't have gone far. It's only one. Yes, we all love him! We are still awake. My main priority is Joe. WHERE IS HE?!?

I left Natalie's and thanked her for her help. I would call the police to put in a missing person report but he hadn't disappeared. He left himself. Where should I look. I began to walk down the street. Looking everywhere.

After about an hour of searching I almost began to give up. But then I saw something and my heart smashed into a thousand pieces. Joe was stood on the edge of the bridge....

About to jump...

"Joe." I said calmly.
He ignored me.
"Joe, come away. I'm gonna walk to you slowly."
Joe took another step.
I found myself running. Joe took another step and before I knew it. He had jumped.

I didn't hesitate. I jumped straight in after him. I managed to grab him. I pulled him to the surface. Both of us panting and gasping for air. He was heavier than he looked.
As I was trying to get him out he kept panicking and pulling me under.

I finally got him to land. He had passed out by then. I called Zo and she told me to keep calm and check his breathing. if he wasn't breathing call an ambulance and give him CPR whilst waiting. Luckily he was breathing so there would be no hospital involved.

After 10 minutes he woke up and asked what had happened. "you...you jumped of the bridge. But I jumped of to save you." He wrapped his arms around me for a friendly hug. I have to admit, I blushed a little but I'm not ruining things again. "I will never leave again Cas."
"Thanks Joe. Zoe and Alfie, Chai, Will and Oli are on their way. we have been looking for you all night."
"thank you Cas. I love you."

Did he mean it seriously or as a friend...
