Mysterious Past
We'd just gotten home from the park when my parents and twin brother Luke went upstairs and had told me to stay downstairs and don't come upstairs, but they knew that I wouldn't listen. I just knew that they had forgotten about my birthday. When I opened the door to my room, everyone had popped out of nowhere,
"SURPRISE!"
My grandma Christy, my best friend Ashley was there, mom, dad, and of course, Luke. "I had began to think that you guys had forgotten!" I exclaimed enthusiastically.
"Now, why would I forget my little sister's birthday." Luke had told me bringing me into a big bear hug, along with Grandma Christy. Ashley had walked up to me and handed me an beautiful amulet. "It's a Dragon Vein Agate amulet, and as long as you keep this with you, I'll always be with you no matter what. Nothing will ever get in the way your family and I. Ever."Ashley and I were like sisters, she was family to us since had no where to go and we were the only family that she had left.
Luke had given me a dragon whip bracelet, if anyone but family or me touch it or try to steal it, I'd immediately be alerted. Grandma Christy had given me a crescent moon necklace that had the cosmic galaxy in it. My mother and father had given me the family katana, but I wasn't allowed to use it until I was older.
I had many more gifts but those were the main important presents. I was about to go open the rest of the presents but Ashley stomped on all my presents. I got so angry then we started to all smell smoke coming from downstairs. My grandmother, father, mother, Luke, and Ashley went to see what was going on. I soon heard everyone crying for help and calling my name.
When I ran downstairs everyone was in the middle of a ring of fire and the whole place was burning. Luke tried to reach his hand out to me but he kept burning himself. ''Val I want you to know that we all love you very very much. No matter what happens promise me that you won't forget us.'' my brother told me crying. '' My dear Magomusume, I want you to know that I love you I want you to know that I will miss you.'' Grandma Christy told me. ''My dear daughter, we will always be in your heart.'' Skyler told me crying.''You are the best daughter, a father could ever have.'' my father said to me.
'' You are the best family a girl could ever wish for.'' I said in Japanese. That was my first time speaking in Japanese at such a young age.
Then, right before my eyes,they died in the fire.
