Kyungsoo stared at his cousin cooking in the kitchen. He had been living with him since he stopped middle school.
"Stop staring and help me out will you?" Sun Woo called out.
Kyungsoo went to the kitchen and peeked over Sun Woo's shoulder.
"What are you making?" Kyungsoo asked for who knows how many times.
"I told you, soo. I'm making spaghetti." Sun Woo said.
"Looks nice." Kyungsoo nodded.
"Help me chop some tomatoes." Sun Woo ordered.
"Okay." Kyungsoo went over to the chopping board where two washed tomatoes and a knife was.
"You always loved cooking, why don't you become a cook rather than a writer?" Sun Woo asked.
"Writing is fun, Sun Woo. It helps take you away from reality and live in your own fantasy world."
"So you're saying you hate reality?"
"Yeah."
"You hate me?" Sun Woo looked at him sadly. "What? No! I like you, you're my cousin. The only relative to-"
"Just kidding. I know." Sun Woo smiled slightly.
"Writing is fun. It improves your handwriting, your grammars and it really helps in school." Kyungsoo sighed.
"Talking about school. You seriously quit school in Korea?"
"Why bother living there when it's just being alone for the rest of my life?" Kyungsoo asked.
"Find a girlfriend. Live with her or something. Why come all the way to England? You know now I have an extra mouth to feed." Sun Woo whinned.
"No matter what you say, I'll still stay." Kyungsoo folded his arms.
"Right, okay. Are you finished chopping them yet?"
"Yeah. And I want to go continue my story."
"Why don't you just write it just now instead of staring at the blank TV screen for 10 minutes?" Sun Woo asked.
"It's called gathering inspiration. A barista wouldn't understand what it means." Kyungsoo poked Sun Woo's forehead.
"Yah! I also need inspiration to come up with new coffee recipes!"
"And they sucks. Don't ask me to be the lab rat again." Kyungsoo laughed.
"Hey, there'll never be successes without failures!" Sun Woo grumbled.
"I get it. Call me up for dinner alright?"
"Don't bury yourselves into those books again."
"I won't. I'm just writing okay?" Kyungsoo disappeared into his bedroom.
