Alright everyone, here's chapter eight and this one has a song in it, which some might guess by the title is a parody of the Once-ler's song from the 2012 Lorax film, Hope you enjoy it.
————————————————————————"Oh, and by the way Jasiri, you can take your Sisi Ni Sawa philosophy and shove it where the sun don't shine."
That was what Janja had said to insult Jasiri for denying his offer to be her mate and for wanting want Kion as hers. To Janja's delight, his insult seemed to have stung deep. That philosophy was a huge part of Jasiri as she was completely devoted to it's meaning to the point that she was the living definition of it. So, to insult it was to insult her. Part of Janja felt bad for doing so, but he felt so angry and disappointed that all his months of getting Jasiri to like and forgive him, both before and after the fight with Kion at the cave had just seemed to have amounted to nothing that it overtook his rational thinking.
Janja quickly ran out of there, grinning before Jasiri could say anything else to him. As Janja ran through and out of the volcano, he came across Cheezi and Chungu talking about something. The two noticed him running towards them and grinned, thinking they were about to hear that Jasiri had said yes to becoming Janja's mate.
"Well, what did Jasiri say Janja?" Cheezi asked.
"Yeah, are you going to be our queen to our king?" Chungu asked, dumbly mixing up which title went with which gender.
Janja paid them no mind and just continued to run, not bothering to go around or leap over them.
"Outta my way furbrains!" Janja demanded.
Cheezi and Chungu quickly jumped to the sides as not to get shoved to the ground. They both looked towards Janja to see him running towards the Pride Lands. Janja himself had no idea of where he was going in the Pride Land. He wanted to find Kion to do what exactly he didn't know, but he'd figure out what when he did. As he continued to run, Janja did not pay attention to his surrounding and so didn't notice the root of a tree sticking out until it was too late.
His paw got caught in it and he went a few feet, rolling head over heals. He came to a stop when he collided with a rock and his entire world was upside down and shaky. Janja shook his head to get his focus back and looked at the tree, who's root he tripped over and glared at it. Deciding to take his anger out on it, Janja stood up, but fell immediately back down when he put pressure on his right paw. Janja looked down at his right paw and lightly flexed only to have a sharp pain run through it, indicating that he must have sprained it when he tripped, which just increased his anger.
Janja got up and angrily hobbled over to the tree on his three good paws.
"You stupid tree, that was my good paw!" Janja angrily shouted.
Janja kicked the trunk of the tree, quickly forgetting to use his left paw instead of his right. Janja howled in pain and clutched his right paw against his chest. Janja soon recovered and kicked the tree with his left paw this time, but winced as pain ran through it on impact with the hard surface of the trunk. Janja growled as he grabbed onto the root with his bone crushing teeth and shattered it with his biteforce. Janja huffed as he angrily hobbled away from the tree.
This day was going just great for Janja. Jasiri rejected him for Kion, the animal that he hated most, revealed to him that the relationship he thought he was successfully building with her was never meant to be, and now he had a sprained paw. Yeah, a great day for Janja indeed. Janja soon began to pant from the heat of the sun beating down on him, the heat that his anger was causing his body didn't help either. Janja groaned angrily as he tried to lay in the shade of a tree to cool off and to rest his sprained paw.
