chapter 26 - needy boyfriend

note: this chapter contains both pov's so don't get confused midway, I will mark when each start, enjoy :)

Pov: Liv

It has been a week or two since the whole drug deal incident, and Nate and I couldn't be happier back together. We had to go back to collect the money bag, which still had the 3k in it, but other than that we don't even drive past the drugstore unless we need to get to the pharmacy. 

We haven't spent even a second away from each other, as expected. My parents came back home today, just like they said they would and we're all currently in my living room; Nate, my parents, Roman, Jules, Noah, Hayden, and I. We decided to have lunch together because I was deadset on introducing Nate to my parents.

Which is about to happen in T-5 seconds. 

The rest are seated around the dining table as my parents walk over to stand facing Nate & me, I can sense him getting a bit nervous as he speaks up, and god, do I find that absolutely adorable. 

I rub his back in an attempt to calm his nerves down, and it works. "Hi Mr & Mrs. Arlene, I'm Nate Caesar. I'm Liv's boyfriend and um- I just wanted to say that my intentions with her and our relationship are entirely pure and she makes me a better, the best version of myself. And I- honestly- I've completely fallen in love with your daughter," He says kindly, smitten as he looks down at me, then respectfully back at them. 

My mom brings her hands up and cups her face, "Aw Livvie, he's adorable. Don't worry honey, you kids completely have our approval and support," My mom grins as she pulls Nate and me into a hug. Whereas, my dad merely smiles and firmly shakes Nate's hand, well I can't ask for more than that. 

"I'm going to be leaving in a week or so, I'm heading back to New Jersey but I wish both of you the best of luck," my dad says, a slight smile appearing on my face, it's rather forced but I can't change anything so why bother. 

Anyways, lunch goes on to be entertaining as my mom prepared some of her best dishes, it was just all of us cracking jokes and Roman being a whole fucking mood by bullying Noah into eating his vegetables.

After lunch, my parents decided to go out so we all stayed home. Out of nowhere, Nate yells out, "Guys, I have a huge fucking surprise for all of you!" and I watch as Noah covers his hands over Jules's ears. 

"Watch your words bro, there are kids here." Roman sighs as Nate tells us all to get in his car. 

My excitement only increases, akin to everybody's as we drive over to see whatever this surprise was. Weirdly enough, we finally arrive at Lavender Heights, the neighbouring street to my house and he ushers us all out of the car.

I watch Nate as his eyes gleam with pride and happiness, I intertwine our hands as he leads us into one of the towering apartments. We walk into the reception and make our way to the elevator, revealing the first modern and classy apartment, and I fall in love with it. 

Jules' little hand makes its way into Nate's hand as he leads her into their apartment once he opens it, making her squeal and run around the place. We're all in awe as we take in the beauty of his apartment, stylish and uniquely designed, mostly monochromatic. 

Noah takes his shoes off and jumps on the sofa, who is shortly after joined by Jules beside him. Hayden and Roman explore the rooms as I stand there in pure amusement.
