Finally back at Faraway! It has been only four months but it felt like years and also the bus ride was lengthy. He wanted to apologize properly now that he felt like he was going to get better.

-How ya' doin'?

Ah! And also Keith invited himself over which was a kind gesture for sure.

-I'm okay

And he really was. He was going to have a breakdown sooner or later but for now, his mind was blank.

-Sure?

-Sure

They went for their luggage, it was somewhat heavy considering they were going to stay there for two weeks. Keith wanted to sacrifice his family Christmas for just staying with a train wreck like him, he felt guilty.

-Need any help with that?

For outsiders, these words must have felt like a gentle offer but that was Keith's way of mocking Hero, even if good-spirited.

-No, THANKS.

-Okay, okay. Jeez.

Or maybe he was just overthinking it, how rude.

-So now you'll guide me. I have no idea where I am.

-Don't worry, this is my hometown after all.

-Yeah. And it feels kinda blighted.

-Hey! It's not as bad as you think!

Keith's tainted vision was his fault, Keith only knows the worst of his memories which didn't paint a full picture.

-We have a nice mall with a cool hobby shop! And a big, fresh park! And the people are nice! And...

-I get it, I get it. I was just messing with ya'.

He was?

-Let's keep going. If you feel any nuisance don't bottle it up. Promise?

-Promise.

And unlike that disastrous summer now he meant it.

°°°

The door, home's door. He felt like he was going to choke.

-You can do it.

Breath in, breath out.

Everything was going to turn out okay, after all, Keith was with him. He was a very lucky maniac.

~Ding, ding~

He rang the doorbell, the sound felt weirdly nostalgic.

-Coming!

A loud energetic yell. Yep, it was Kel's voice.

-Come on Hector! Not now!

Hector's barking was heard and just after that Kel unlocked the door.

Silence, dreadful silence.

-Hi! Hello! I'm Keith. You must be Kel. Ain't ya?

Keith was a brave man cutting the silence like that. Hero could only drown in his Christmas ruiner guilt though.

-Yeah. Man! You're huuuuge!

Kel was still Kel.

-Oh! Thanks, I guess!

Keith flexed, what a showoff.

-Hey! That I'm also strong!

Kel also flexed. Now they were talking the same sports weirdos language.
